Unity Of Allah.
This series of booklets is intended to give slightly wider explanation on BASICS OF RELIGION to that given in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET on USOOL - E - DEEN. It is expected that the logical explanation and examples given in that booklet have been well understood and grasped by the reader.
PREFACE
In the Name of ALLAH, The Beneficent, The Merciful.

All Praise is Allah’s, the Lord of the Universe and Peace and Blessings be on Prophet Muhammad and his holy Progeny, the Clean, the Pure, the Infallible ones, the Divinely Appointed Guides and the Best of Allah's creation.

This series of booklets is intended to give slightly wider explanation on BASICS OF RELIGION to that given in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET on USOOL - E - DEEN. It is expected that the logical explanation and examples given in that booklet have been well understood and grasped by the reader. Therefore, the explanation and examples of that booklet will be only referred to where necessary in extending or giving further details in this series. The reader may therefore not be conversant with the background of the subject under discussion if he has not read that booklet. So it is absolutely essential to read the FOUNDATION BOOKLET before going through this series.

As mentioned in the preface of that booklet, verses of Holy Quraan will be quoted in this booklet which, apart from substantiating the truth of what is being said in here, will induce the reader to go through the authentic translation and commentary of Holy Quraan. This will apply equally to other authentic books giving the true history and the sayings of the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. and the Holy Imams A.S.

However, it must be clarified that this series is written to give the primary basic knowledge of the FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM to a common man who is in the search of the true path. In order to have depth of knowledge over the subject, one has to go through the authentic translation and commentary of the Holy Quraan and also the true life history of the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. and the Holy Imams A.S. and their sayings. Some of these books have been referred to in this series as well as in the Foundation Booklet.

This book 1 is devoted to some more understanding of TAWHEED only and the books that will follow will give some explanations on ADL, NUBUWWAT, IMAMAT and QAYAAMAT. In order to avoid prolixity, we have endeavoured to make the explanations as well as the booklet as concise as possible by giving particulars or reminders that we thought absolutely essential.

CHAPTER - 1
Every truly stable thing has a strong foundation upon which its stability depends. The stronger the foundation, the better the stability. In the FOUNDATION BOOKLET on USOOL - E - DEEN (BASICS OF RELIGION) the examples of Building and a tree were given. It was stated, inter alia, that the building constructed on a strong foundation and in accordance with and conforming to the standards of the foundation will last longer and will protect its inhabitants from evils and accident like theft, burglary, strong winds, cold, heat waves etc. Similarly, a tree standing on strong and healthy roots will survive and bear good fruits. Every religion has a foundation (or roots) upon which the whole edifice of the end result of its followers depends. This foundation (or roots) is the BELIEF which forms the basics upon which the TRUTH or otherwise of the religion depends. TRUTH begets TRUTH and FALSEHOOD begets FALSEHOOD in the same manner as the fruit-tree will bear fruits and a thorn plant will give thorns. BELIEFS form FAITH as explained in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET, so it is imperative that even error must not creep into beliefs as otherwise the beliefs will be erroneous and so will be the FAITH formed by erroneous beliefs, as these will lead to disastrous end result only. Believing in anything without testing it logically, intelligently and honestly will result in BLIND FAITH which is rejected by Islam. Islam, therefore, makes it compulsory for each and every of its followers to understand the beliefs well after putting them to logical and intelligence tests. If they stand un-challengeable, only then they have to be accepted. As far as BELIEFS are concerned, the follower does not have to accept blindly the words of even the highest jurisprudent. The five basic BELIEFS (Principles of Religion) as logically and intelligently discussed briefly in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET and to be slightly elaborated in this series of booklets form the un-challangeable TRUE ISLAMIC FAITH. This has been also logically proved in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET. The Five Basics of Religion which form the ISLAMIC FAITH are: 1. TAWHEED - Belief in ONENESS of Allah S.W.T. (GOD) 2. ADL - Belief in the Justice of Allah S.W.T. belief that Allah S.W.T. is JUST 3. NUBUWWAT - Belief in 124,000 Prophets sent by Allah S.W.T. as guides for mankind, duly appointed by Him, the first of whom was HAZRAT ADAM (A.S.) and the last HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.W.). 4. IMAMAT - Belief in Twelve IMAMS - the Divine Leaders appointed by Allah S.W.T. 5. QAYAAMAT - Belief in the Day of Judgment. These Basic Beliefs which are also referred to as Fundamentals of Islam and form ISLAMIC FAITH were explained and proved logically and intellectually in brief by giving a few logical and practical examples. We shall now proceed to broaden the understanding of these beliefs so that the readers may get clearer and deeper insight of this most important topic on which their future depends. From what has been said in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET, the reader must have been clearer about the EXISTENCE OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH (GOD) and must be undoubtedly believing in HIM. We had discussed in that booklet about CAUSE and EFFECT and proved the EXISTENCE OF ALLAH S.W.T.. We shall discuss this a little further. If the reader has not gone through that booklet or has not properly understood that topic, he/she is advised to go through it first - before reading further - so that the forthcoming literature becomes clear to him/her. Islam insists on clear understanding of the BASIC or FUNDAMENTALS OF RELIGION so that once a person is fully convinced of their TRUTH logically and intellectually, he will automatically , from the depth of his conscience (heart), start believing in them. Let us prove this by examples of our daily life. 1. Any sensible person will not climb a tree until he is satisfied in his conscience that the stem and the branches of the tree will be able to endure fully his weight and they are not so weak that he may fall down. Not only that but before climbing it, he will satisfy himself that the fruits that he is going to pluck are of benefits to him. (i.e. the end result) 2. No person will travel in a car, or other travel media, until he is satisfied that it will safely reach him at the right destination. 3. Likewise, he will not purchase any medicine or food and anything until he is satisfied that they will provide him with the benefit, protection etc. which he expects out of them. Can we now ask ourselves a question? Is it wise to mould our belief and actions in accordance with any religion, on which our whole future hereafter depends, without ascertaining that it is the RIGHT PATH TO LEAD US TO HAPPY DESTINATION? The sensible answer will unequivocally be ‘NO’. Remember the RELIGION is a submissive attitude of human conscience toward ALMIGHTY ALLAH S.W.T., without which there is no salvation. As it will be clear from the explanation in the previous booklet that all things that we see around us are EFFECTS of some CAUSES. CAUSE and EFFECT are defined as follows:- CAUSE: The thing (or being) due to which another thing (or being) exists or on which the existence of another thing (or being) depends, is called a Cause. Therefore, if the existence of ‘A’ depends on ‘B’ then ‘B’ is the Cause and ‘A’ is its Effect. EFFECT: The thing (or being) which depends on, or owes its existence to something else is called an Effect. It was proved in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET that the existence of an Effect is a sufficient proof of the existence of the cause, and that an Effect cannot depend on NOTHINGNESS. In other words ‘there can be no EFFECT without a CAUSE.’ We also proved that the things we see around us are all EFFECTS, and further that these EFFECTS are of two nature: (1) EFFECTS of ‘the Making Stage’ - that is man-made items making use of items of ‘the creation stage.’ (2) EFFECTS of ‘the Creation Stage’ - that is items (whether solids, liquids, gases, powers etc.) created by ALMIGHTY ALLAH S.W.T. We had also explained that proofs are of two kinds, namely: (1) DALEEL - E INNEE (or INNIYYA) - meaning observing the EFFECT as a proof and accept its CAUSE. (2) DALEEL - E - LIMMI - meaning observing the CAUSE as a proof and accept its EFFECT.
We had also given practical and logical examples of both. Now you must understand that EXISTENCE is divided into three categories namely:- (1) COMPULSORY (REAL/ETERNAL) Existence - This is eternal - meaning without limit of beginning or end. This applies to THE CREATOR ONLY. In Arabic it is termed as “WAJIBUL WUJOOD” واجبا لوجود ) (2) POSSIBLE Existence (non-eternal). This applies to all other things, whether in Creation Stage or Making Stage. It means that there was a time when they were non-existent; and there could be a time when they will not exist. The question “since when?” can be asked for this. Think of anything and you will come to the conclusion that there was a time when it did not exist and there will come a time when it will not exist. So it has a beginning and an end. In simple terms this period is called its ‘life’. In Arabic this is known as “MUMKENUL WUJOOD.” ( ممكن الوجود ( Again, its existence depends on something else (CAUSE). (3) IMPOSSIBLE Existence. For example if someone says that two plus two makes five; this is impossible. Similarly, we have seen and proved in the FOUNDATION BOOKLET that the belief in more than ONE GOD, or belief in components of God is impossible and absolutely-totally - WRONG. Similarly, if it is a day in a place and someone says it is night at the same time in the same place then it is impossible. Again, where something is absolutely and totally wrong and someone says it is also absolutely right at the same time; then this is impossible. (IMPOSSIBLE EXISTENCE) In Arabic this is known as “MUMTANEUL WUJOOD” ( (ممتنع الوجود Having known this and having gone through the FOUNDATION BOOKLET regarding proper understanding of various facts and terms, we proceed in further proving the Compulsory Existence of the CREATOR. Now think of anything and you will find that it is either of MAKING STAGE or CREATION STAGE. Let us take a thing of the bottom stage - that is MAKING STAGE. We find that it is: (a) made of: components - which are a combination of elements, compounds etc. (b) made by: human beings - (even if by machines which are ultimately made by human beings) When we take the components as Effect and go further up to find the chain of Effects and Causes, we come to the Creation Stage; that is we conclude that the component was made out of, for example, metal, the raw material of which was found underground and Created by THE CREATOR. No one on this earth has been or will be able to claim that he has created anything we find in the nature. Go on thinking of the matter and causes until even the scientists have to agree that the matter has a life - that is to say that there was a time when matter was non-existent. In other words, Matter fall under the category of ‘POSSIBLE EXISTENCE’ (non-eternal) and therefore its existence depends on an ETERNAL SELF-EXISTING CAUSE. (THE ULTIMATE CAUSE) Again, take the human side of it, who made that thing. Now go on upwards thinking of the chain of EFFECT and its CAUSE. Clarifying this further, the son is the Effect and the Cause are the Parents. Again, going up, the Parents are the Effects and the Grand Parents are the Cause. Going still further, the Grand Parents are the Effect and the Great Grand Parents are the Cause; and so on until we come to the start of mankind - which are ADAM and HAWWA (EVE) who were not born of Parents. Now their coming into existence cannot be without a cause, so their coming into existence is because of THE ETERNAL SELF-EXISTING CAUSE or THE ULTIMATE CAUSE who is known as the CREATOR or ALLAH SUBHANAHU WA TA’ALA. Consider anything on this logical and intellectual basis and you will end up with accepting HIM as the SUPREME POWER, SUPREME KNOWLEDGE and SUPREME CREATOR. HIS CREATION WHICH IS EXTREMELY PERFECT, IN WHICH HE HAS BESTOWED HIS BOUNTIES OF UN-IMAGINABLE KNOWLEDGE THAT HUMAN BEINGS WILL EVER GO ON RESEARCHING AND DAILY FINDING VAST WORLDS OF KNOWLEDGE WHICH ARE LATENT IN THE CONTENTS OF EACH OF THEM. In our above mentioned examples, we have considered components and parents as the cause but let us think slightly deeper into the matter and we will realise that they are in fact External Causes only. The Real or Internal Cause of the components (being able to give that service and be moulded into that pattern) is the Elements which are contained into that structure - steel contents etc. - which THE SUPREME POWER - ALLAH S.W.T. has created and bestowed that tolerance etc. to the various contents. Even the man who made the component has been bestowed with so many uncountable bounties like talents, health, perfectly working multi-function body and all its parts etc. So whatever man does, he is utilising un-estimable bounties of the SUPREME BENEFACTOR and it therefore behoves on every sensible man to thank the SUPREME BENEFACTOR - ALLAH S.W.T. every second for the billions of bounties that he is utilizing every second and also stop utilizing any of the bounties in actions NOT PERMITTED by HIM. In the same manner, Parents are the External Cause of the children (EFFECTS). The Real and Internal cause are the EFFECTS which the CREATOR has put into the products, thereby, making them capable of producing the EFFECT we see by way of children. Here also, it is not only the internal cause, but the CREATOR’s wish and order through which the parts of the body, its perfect working system are formed and developed under HIS APPOINTED CARING SYSTEM. ONLY HE brings this human structure to life and no one can stop or delay even a millionth part of a second when HE orders the withdrawal of life from this structure. Scientist have been making continuous researches over centuries, yet they have not been able to even find out the tremendous effect each capillary has on the body or the benefits and effects each turn in the vein and in each capillary has on the human life. Every time they probe into the study of human body, they find oceans of knowledge hidden in each part and the tremendous benefits thereof to human life that come to light upon their research. Despite this the selfish human being, instead of kneeling down and prostrating to THE SUPREME CREATOR AND BENEFACTOR and telling the world and advertising HIS bounties, tries all his way to advertise himself, as the ‘advanced researcher’, which only proves gross human ignorance and unthankfulness towards the REAL BENEFACTOR. From all that has been said here we conclude logically that all the chains of CAUSES and EFFECTS end upwards into ETERNAL SELF EXISTING FINAL CAUSE - that is ALLAH S.W.T. Before going further, let us ask ourselves a question; and that is: In the matter of Existence of the Creator Allah S.W.T. can we ask, or is it sensible or appropriate to ask “since when or what time He is existing?” Let us think it out ourselves and find the answer logically. It is an accepted fact that there was a time when “matter” or universe did not exist and, therefore, the sun and the moon which are part of the matter were not existing and even the world was not in existence. Human imagination and phenomenon of “time” started upon the creation of the sun, the moon and the world. Since the existence of the Creator was there ‘before’ the human imagination of ‘time’ came into existence, logic and intelligence tells us that it is wrong, inappropriate and foolish to ask “since when” or “from what time” regarding the existence of THE CREATOR, since HE was there before ‘time’ commenced. So ‘time’ cannot limit HIM. Even when someone says about Him as ‘from time immemorial’, it is still an insult as the person tries to limit Him by time. Since the reader is, by now, conversant with the belief of IMAMAT (Chain of Divine Guidance after the last HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W.) after having read the FOUNDATION BOOKLET, it is appropriate to mention here that the logical proofs of Existence and Oneness of the Creator are mostly taken from explanations given by HOLY IMAMS to various persons who contacted them on the subject.

Chapter 1 cont
Each of the HOLY IMAMS of his time has answered the question in accordance with the level of knowledge and understanding of the enquirer, since the holy advice is: كلم الناس علي قدر عقولهم meaning: “Talk to people in accordance with the level of their understanding.” For example, a trader who travelled to various countries to sell his goods once approached the sixth Holy Imam A.S. and asked him for the proof of existence of Allah S.W.T. (THE CREATOR) The sixth Holy Imam JAAFAR - E - SADIQ A.S. made him sit down and the conversation between them was in the following form: Imam A.S. : “Have you ever travelled by ship (dhow in those days) to other places in connection with your business?” The Enquirer : “Yes - Oh, grandson of Holy Prophet S.A.W.W.” Imam A.S. : “During any of the voyages have you ever met on your way with heavy storm in the ocean?” The Enquirer : “Yes, surely.” Imam A.S. : “Was the storm so heavy that you lost all hopes of survival?” The Enquirer : “Yes, indeed, it was so.” Imam A.S. : “During that extreme despondency for survival, did you feel in the depth of your heart that there is still one SUPREME POWER which can save (rescue) you from this catastrophic position despite all that despair?” The Enquirer : “Yes, indeed, Oh grandson of the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W.” Imam A.S. : “That Power is ALLAH S.W.T.” The Enquirer : “Oh Imam A.S.! What a contentment you have instilled in my bosom, that whenever I remember HIM, I will not fail to thank you for the satisfaction and coolness of mind you have provided me with.” ---*---*---*---*--- As regards His Oneness, several logical proofs were given in the previous booklet but in order to add some more, let us discuss a few additional examples, a couple of them from our daily life. 1. Indian bread, popularly known as ‘chapati’ are normally made by first kneading wheat flour, by adding water etc. into dough. Small round pieces of dough are then put, one at a time, on a wooden board and a wooden hand roller is rolled over it in such a way that the piece of dough not only becomes flat but also care is taken that the shape of it is constantly maintained round. This is an art, normally of ladies. Now, suppose, you give one piece of dough to two equally expert ladies and ask them both to roll it together so that it is properly shaped and pressed in one thickness: that is to say that two ladies shaping and making a single bread together. They will immediately tell you that it is impossible to get the same shape, thickness etc. if two of them are rolling together, however expert they may be. But if each is given a piece of dough to make it single handed, the result will be excellent. So, consider that a single bread, when done by two experts together, cannot be made properly, how can a sensible human could even imagine that this Universe with its entire perfectness could have been created by more than ONE CREATOR? Each creation within the Universe: the sun, the moon, stars, galaxies, animals, plants, human beings, atmosphere and any creation one may think of are so perfectly set to function within their ‘creation aspect’ right from the beginning, and even before human senses began to realise or know about, under a single order which has never changed or amended. 2. In any business organisation, the topmost position is of the Managing Director who administers the whole organisation. The Managing Director is one - not more than one, since this is against the principles of administration. Even when human being is grossly deficient in his abilities, knowledge etc. he is appointed as a sole Managing Director of a company. Similarly, the captain of the ship is One. (Remember the sayings: ‘Too many sailors drown the ship.’ ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth.’) The Principal of any educational institution is One, the Chairman of any organisation is one. These and many others are the logical conclusion that the topmost authority is ending in Oneness. Yet, when it comes to the question of the ALL KNOWLEDGE, ALL POWER, ALL PERFECT CREATOR, how dare the human being leave all norms of sense and logic and question about HIS ONENESS? Take even the examples of King, Queen or President of any country and similar persons of that hierarchy; that also ends in oneness. 3. All the Prophets from Hazrat Adam A.S. to Prophet Muhammad Mustafa S.A.W.W. preached of ONE GOD; none of them supported any idea other than of ONE CREATOR. 4. If there was more than ONE GOD, each one would have sent his own prophets, so there would have been at least two chains (or two sets) of prophets - one for each. But this is not so. Prayers offered to each would have been different from the other in order to identify each; and the prophets would have differentiated between the two so that each set of creation would recognize its own creator, otherwise, they could not be considered as the right guides and the ultimate result of this sort of prophets would affect their creators who are either incapable of appointing the right prophets or else they are appointing not “the guides“ but “the misguiders” which is against all norms of senses, justice and intellect. Therefore, such so called “creators” as well as their prophets cancel out --- self canceling phenomenon. 5. At this point, we must clearly understand that THE CREATOR’s (that is GOD’S) ONENESS is an absolute ONENESS --- unlimited in any way, whatsoever. It is not like oneness of the items of creation - which are limited, countable, comparable etc. It has already been logically and intellectually proved that HE cannot be limited by time. Again, let us consider that the ‘Universe’ is HIS creation; the ‘space’ is also His creation. Human beings and among them the most advanced researchers, after the intense researches of decades and centuries, have not been able to probe into even sizeable portion of the universe (i.e. creation) or the space (i.e. creation). So, when all human efforts put together, cannot or are incapable of making or thinking of even the correct assessment of very small part of the creation, how dare they think of even a glimpse of any estimation of the CREATOR? So how can ‘space’, which is HIS creation, limit the CREATOR? The logical and sensible conclusion emerging from this discussion is that the CREATOR cannot be limited by ‘space’. 6. Human estimation and thinking are the creations of human beings - that is to say that they are ‘creations of the creation’ which, by itself, are inferior to the ‘creation’. So how can ‘the creations of the creation’ reach even the lowest level of the Eternal Real Creator when they cannot reach their own creator which is a human being? 7. For those who may be believing in more than one God, we provide them with further food for thought. In believing of more than one, the least will be two. It means that with ONE god the existence is incomplete - in other words ‘IMPERFECT’. The presence of the second god without the first one is also incomplete - that is ‘IMPERFECT’. So the existence of any one of them without the other is IMPERFECT EXISTENCE, and both by their individual existence are IMPERFECT. How can an imperfect in all senses - POWER, KNOWLEDGE etc. - can create any perfect thing? All the creations around us with their perfectness prove HIS perfectness and therefore, nullify the belief in more than one God. 8. All Divine Holy Books and all the Holy Prophets and all the Holy Imams have preached of ONE GOD and nothing else. It is only human tyranny and human mischief that has tried to detract everyone from the right belief in ONE GOD, so that they may place themselves in the eyes of others on such a level that people start worshipping them instead of worshipping the TRUE CREATOR, as has been in the past when kings made people worship them. Example: FIR’AON (PHARAOH) and NAMROOD (Namarod) and several others. Even now the so called ‘big powers’ want to be worshipped but all thanks to THE SUPREME LORD (ALLAH) who sent HIS representatives - HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS - who instilled awareness in human beings that they are not to worship any human beings.
Again, all HIS HOLY BOOKS have clearly declared HIS ETERNAL EXISTENCE AND ALSO HIS ONENESS. In the most supreme HOLY BOOK - THE HOLY QURAAN - also HE has mentioned HIS EXISTENCE in at least 84 places and 210 verses; and HIS ONENESS in at least 45 places and 46 verses. Additionally, HIS ONENESS is expressed along with HIS EXISTENCE which add to the places and verses mentioned herein regarding HIS ONENESS. It must be reminded again and again that whenever the ONENESS OF ALLAH S.W.T. is mentioned or comes to our mind, we must be very clear that HIS ONENESS is ABSOLUTE, ETERNAL and UNLIMITED by all norms of human intelligence and thinking. If we ever feel that we have known or understood HIM by our intelligence, understanding, thought or imagination, then we must understand that we have tried to limit HIM within the precincts of our senses, imagination etc. and that is not GOD, it is merely our own creation which is much more limited than ourselves. So how can that be our Creator? NOW ONE VERY BIG QUESTION ARISES that ‘when we cannot limit Him within our understanding and it is compulsory to know Him, otherwise, we are likely to worship someone other than the true CREATOR, how shall we know HIM? The simplest and straight forward answer to this is that we must try to know HIM to the extent HIS APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES - that is HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS (who are appointed by HIM only) have directed us. Again, it is imperative to remember HIM and thank HIM for HIS UNCOUNTABLE, UNIMAGINABLE, INACCESSIBLE, PERENNIAL BOUNTIES that HE is showering upon us in every part of a second. This can be done only through prayers and supplications, in addition to HIS LOVE in our bosoms and through our obedience to HIM through honest actions which strictly conform with HIS orders and directions. In our prayers and supplications to HIM we have to call HIM and crave to HIM, and our language is highly deficient to describe even a spec of HIS everlasting bounties, let alone HIM. But HE is so Merciful that HE has guided us through HIS benevolent HOLY PROPHETS and HOLY IMAMS on how to call HIM, remember HIM through prayers and crave to HIM within the precincts of our highly deficient language. Moreover, it is extremely important to know HIM and keep HIS memory in our bosoms at all times in order to avoid falling into the trap of wrong gods and thereby distracting from the right path. Also, whilst remembering HIM and craving to HIM through prayers, supplications etc. with respect, love and affection it gives inner satisfaction if one’s attention and concentration is fully diverted towards HIM and not anyone else. This keeps a person always aware of HIS presence, power, bounties etc. and therefore, to avoid not only mis-deeds but also even thoughts of mis-deeds, for which man would immediately seek forgiveness of his CREATOR before even he starts any misdeed. Now in order to know HIM within the limited human senses and intelligence and confined to that level in a correct manner, it is necessary to understand and remember some attributes through the test of which the wrong belief (that is in the wrong gods) will be cut-off. They help to sieve off the wrong belief. These attributes are of two types: (I) Positive or Affirmative. (II) Negative. We normally notice two types of lights at the airport (called the beacons) to guide the landing as well as the take-off of the aircraft. These beacons are red and green (or blue) and are placed on and around runways of the aircraft. The red lights indicate that this is not the right path and the green (or blue) on both sides of the runway indicate that the right path for the aircraft is between the green (or blue) lights. In the same manner, the two types of attributes are guides (or beacons) for human intelligence and senses towards the right path in the belief of God. The positive attributes are like green (or blue) lights and the negative attributes like red lights. Although, the pilot lands and takes off from the same airport more than 500 times each year, yet he needs guidance of those green and red lights for all his life. In the same manner the intrinsic knowledge of the positive and the negative attributes is absolutely necessary throughout the life. We have logically proved, in the Foundation Booklet as well as this one, that Allah - the Creator - cannot be limited by any sense of imagination and therefore the positive attributes that are mentioned here (and explained in the next chapter) cannot and must not be construed or interpreted or thought to limit HIM in anyway, but because human senses have limitations, they (the positive attributes) serve as beacons to guide human sense towards KNOWING his CREATOR within the precincts of human limits; and the negative attributes serve as a warning to him against his falling down into disasters. For more vivid understanding of the subject as a whole and also the above mentioned point in particular the reader is invited to read the first KHUTBA (sermon) of the FIRST IMAM HAZRAT ALI ALAIHISSALAAM in his book of sermons known as NAHJUL BALAGHA. He states in that sermon: The correct form of belief in His unity is to realize that HE is so absolutely pure and above nature that nothing can be added to or subtracted from His Being. That is, one should realize that there is no difference between His Person and His attributes, and His attributes should not be differentiated or distinguished from His Person. (That is they cannot be added to or taken away from His Person - Because every attribute, quality or property by its very existence proves that it is something other than and different to the person to whom it is attributed and whom it qualifies or describes because existence of every created being is a proof that it is quite a different and separate entity to its attributes and properties. For instance, a man may be very wise and learned but his wisdom or knowledge is not the same thing as being; once he, as a child, existed without wisdom and knowledge. Later he may have acquired them both with hard work; and during his future life time he may get mad and may lead a long life as a lunatic; therefore, he and his attributes of wisdom and knowledge are two different things, each has a place in nature independent of the other; one (a person) can acquire the other (attributes) and can gradually increase them or totally lose them without loss of his existence. Same is the case of our five senses; a person may have sight and then may get blind; may have hearing ability and may lose it later; may also suffer from the loss of senses of touch, smell and taste after having enjoyed them earlier. Similar is the condition of other abstract qualities in human beings. But such is not the case with Allah, the Almighty. His being and attributes are not different; He was never without them, nor had to acquire them and never be without them. He is ALL POWER, OMNI PRESENT, OMNISCIENT. Although these words cannot describe even a spec of His Power. we are compelled through gross deficiency of our language to use such words which seem greatest in human imagination.)

CHAPTER - 2
At the very start of this chapter, we are obliged to quote the translation of the words of Ameerul Mu’ameneen Hazrat Ali Alaihissalaam - the FIRST HOLY IMAM A.S. - which he has used in his first KHUTBA (sermon) given in NAHJUL BALAGHA so that the overall vision and the reason for quoting the attributes as a guide to knowing Allah - the Creator is well understood and constantly borne in mind. Ameerul Mo’ameneen Hazrat Ali A.S. says, inter alia, in his sermon: “Human faculties of conception, perception and learning and attributes of volition, intuition and apprehension cannot catch sight of HIS Person, or fathom the extent of his Might and Glory. HIS attributes cannot be fixed, limited or defined. There do not exist words in any languages to specify or define HIS qualities, peculiarities, characteristics and singularities.” In the same sermon, the Holy Imam says: “Whoever accepts HIS attributes to be other than HIS Person, then he actually forsakes the idea of Unity of God and believes in duality (He and His attributes.) Such a person, in fact, believes Him to exist in Parts. One who holds such a faith cannot form a true concept of God; he is ignorant and will always try to believe in some creation of his imagination as his god. And whoever holds such a belief, accepts limitations in His Being and confines Him to a place or to particular powers and attributes and brings Him in level to His creatures.” Please try to understand the depth of meaning of the Holy Imam’s words and then proceed to read the subject keeping the teachings conveyed by the Holy Imam’s words fixed in your mind. The positive attributes and the negative attributes which form the test through which we can know the right creator are known in Arabic terms as “SIFAAT - E - SUBOOTIYYAH” and “SIFAAT - E - SALBIYYAH” respectively and each set is comprised of eight attributes. The eight positive attributes are those that can be considered to befit Allah S.W.T., and therefore He can be called or remembered and craved by the names of these attributes. It is to remind once again that no attributes can encompass the Creator or His Powers, but these applicable attributes fully encompass all the stretches of human thinking and intelligence and therefore, guide him to the RIGHT way of thinking about ALLAH S.W.T. POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES (As-Sifaat Ath-Thubutiyyah) popularly and simply written as: SIFAAT - E - THUBUTIYYAH ( الصفات الثبوتيه ) 1. (AL-) QADEEM : It means that Allah S.W.T. is Eternal; HE has neither ( القديم ) : beginning nor end (Nothing is eternal except Allah S.W.T.) i.e. ETERNAL EXISTENCE. 2. (AL-) QAADIR : It means that Allah S.W.T. is All - Power -Omnipotent ( القادر ) : HE has power over all creations, every affair, every- thing imaginable and also beyond human imagination. 3. (AL-) AALIM : It means that Allah S.W.T. is All-Knowledge (Omniscient) العالم ) : Nothing is, and could be, hidden from Him, whether it is, or it was, or it will come into our intentions, desires, doubts etc. which are hidden within our bosoms. (More explanation to follow). In fact, Allah S.W.T. is the CREATOR of knowledge. 4. (AL-) HAYY : It means that Allah S.W.T. was Ever Alive, is Alive and ( ا لحي ) : will remain Ever Alive; that is Eternally Alive. It is not the type of life that is like living creatures in whom HE has instilled life (soul). HE is in fact, the CREATOR of lives. Life, in human understanding, is HIS creation. 5. (AL-) MUREED : It means that Allah S.W.T. does everything with HIS ( ا لمريد ) : own wish and will and discretion in all affairs. HE does not do anything under constraint or compulsion. HE does everything by HIS EVER SUPREME WILL. 6. (AL-) MUDRIK : It means that HE is All Perceiving (All-hearing, All- ( ا لمدرك ) : seeing etc.) Allah S.W.T. sees and hears everything - without any need of eyes or ears or any other means of seeing and hearing etc. In fact, HE is the CREATOR of Power, of Perception. 7. (AL-) MUTAKALLIM: It means that Allah S.W.T. is the CREATOR of Power ( ا لمتكلم ) : of Speech and where HE wills, can create or bestow that power to or in anything to whom HE has not normally granted. For example, HE did in tree for Prophet MUSA (Moses - p.b.u.h.) and in the “Curtain of Light: for our Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. 8. (AS-) SADIQ : It means that Allah S.W.T. is ALL-TRUTH. His words ( ا لصادق ) : and promises are all truth. In reality, HE is the CREATOR of truth. As mentioned earlier, these attributes are in no way whatsoever meant to limit HIM but are meant to stand as guards around the limits of human imaginations and talents. These positive or affirmative attributes when fixed in mind will help rejecting any misguided suggestion of the CREATOR or any wrong thinking about HIM. They will also save a believer from any thought or suggestion which tries, directly or indirectly, to limit HIM in anyway. Any suggestion of any other than the REAL CREATOR will not stand the test of these as well as the negative attributes that will be described hereafter. As the first Imam Amir - ul - Mu’ameneen Ali A.S. said: “The perfection of HIS purity is to deny HIM attributes, because every attribute is a proof that it is different from that to which it is attributed, and everything to which something is attributed is different from the attribute. Thus whoever attaches attributes to Allah (S.W.T.) recognises HIS like, and whoever recognises HIS like regards HIM as two, and whoever regards HIM as two recognises parts for HIM and whoever recognises parts of HIM has mistaken HIM.” We shall now mention those attributes which can never apply to Allah S.W.T. and therefore must be rejected if someone tries to implicate HIS SUPREME BEING with any of these attributes directly, indirectly, by implication or otherwise. Again, it must be understood that these negative attributes are such as to encompass human thinking so as to save him from falling into disaster of following wrong gods. They are like the red beacons which serve to warn of the dangers of that path. Where any suggestion is made regarding creator possessing any of the negative attributes it must be rejected outright or if any of these negative attributes apply to such god, then he must be rejected and termed as NOT THE CREATOR, although, he maybe one of the created ones. So, whenever or wherever faced by any problem regarding belief of the true CREATOR, test it against the positive and negative attributes and if it does not stand good against even one, then reject it. As in the case of positive attributes (SIFAAT - E - SUBUTIYYAH), the negative attributes are also EIGHT in number. In Arabic they are known and simply written as SIFAAT - E - SALBIYAH. NEGATIVE ATTRIBUTES (As-Sifaat As-Salbiyyah) Popularly and simply written as: SIFAT - E - SALBIYYAH ( ا لصفات ا لسلبيه ) THESE ARE NEVER APPLICABLE TO ALLAH S.W.T. (1) NOT ‘SHAREEK’: The word ‘SHAREEK’ means a colleague or partner. Allah S.W.T. has neither a colleague nor a partner. HE is SUPREME IN HIS DIVINITY and nothing can be compared to HIM. To associate or compare anything with HIM is TYRANNY against HIM, and the ultimate place for a person who does so is HELL. This applies to all negative attributes. (THIS ATTRIBUTE IS THEREFORE NEGATION OF ‘SHAREEK’) (2) NOT ‘MURAKKAB’: The word “MURAKKAB” means “compound” or “mixture”. Allah S.W.T. is not composed and therefore neither a compound nor a mixture. HE is neither made nor created and hence no imagination of components or divisibility is applicable to HIM. (THIS ATTRIBUTE IS NEGATION OF HIS BEING ‘MURAKKAB’) (3) NO ‘MAKAAN’: The word “MAKAAN” means “place:. Allah is not restricted to any place; HE has no place of abode as HE has no body. In fact, nothing can encompass or restrict HIM; space cannot restrict HIM. HE is everywhere - even beyond space and beyond imaginations. (4) NOT ‘HULOOL’: The word “HULOOL” means “incorporation”, “incarnation” and “penetration”. Allah S.W.T. is not incorporated or incarned or penetrated and does not do so and nothing vice versa. So any belief in incarnation, incorporation, penetration etc. about Allah S.W.T. is WRONG and open flagrance against the CREATOR. (5) NOT ‘MAHAL-AL-HAWAADITH’: This means that Allah S.W.T. is not subject to changes: e.g. human beings are young then they become old, first they are illiterate then they become learned. Also changes do occur in state of human being: e.g. a person may be worried, sorrowful, angry, unhappy in mind etc. and this state of his later changes to happiness, worry-lessness etc. and vice versa. All these changes take place in human beings. This sort of change does not and cannot apply to ALLAH S.W.T. (6) NOT ‘MAR’EE’ : The word “MAR’EE” means visible. Allah S.W.T. has never been seen, is not seen and will never be seen - HE cannot be seen by anyone. Anything visible is not the “creator”. (7) NOT ‘EHTEYAAJ’: The word “EHTEYAAJ” means “want” “having need of” or “indigence. Allah S.W.T. is not and cannot be in need or want of anything. HE is ALL POWER, ALL PERFECT, ALL KNOWLEDGE. Any sinful thinking about HIM of “want” or “need” means to associate imperfectness with HIM which is a flagrant mutinee Against the CREATOR. (8) NOT ‘SIFAT-AZZAEDAH’ (or SIFAT - E - ZAED): “SIFAT - AZZAEDAH” means “addition of qualifications, attributes, abilities, qualities etc. The positive attributes with which we are allowed to remember ALLAH S.W.T. and crave to HIM are not separate from His Being. When we say that God is Omnipotent and Merciful, it does not, and must not, mean that HIS POWER and MERCY are something different from HIS BEING. Such thinking of separate attributes, abilities etc. apply to human beings and other creation and NOT THE CREATOR. When a child is born, it does not have powers of a developed stage. For example, it does not posses developed strength, talents, knowledge, understanding etc., but as it grows, its powers go on developing up to a certain limit and upon getting old some of them start Waning. This happens because power or qualities etc. is not its person but something other than human being’s person. This does not apply to God. Allah S.W.T. is ALL - POWER HIMSELF, ALL KNOWLEDGE HIMSELF, MERCY HIMSELF, JUSTICE HIMSELF, VIRTUE HIMSELF, TRUTH HIMSELF and so on.
When we discussed “ONENESS” of ALLAH S.W.T. in the Foundation Booklet it was stated that it is not mathematical “one”. Any oneness in human thinking and imagination has limits as comparable. It was explained under that heading, that human thinking and imaginations are actually his ‘creation’; and because human being himself is a creation so his “thinking and imagination” are the ‘creation of the creation’ (human being). These human “thinking and imaginations” are incapable of describing fully “human self”, so how can they even reach the “CREATOR” when they cannot encompass the created one. Let us try to understand this fact a little further by going through one of the explanations given by Ameerul - Mu’ameneen (commander of the Faithful) Hazrat Ali Ibn Abu Talib A.S. to a bedouin who approached him on the day of Battle of Jamal (camel) and said “O Commander of the Faithful! Sayest thou that the God is One?” People started blaming saying that Hazrat Ali A.S. - Commander of Faithful was inundated with serious matters of the battle at that time. The Commander of the Faithful Hazrat Ali A.S. said, “Leave him, for surely what the bedouin wishes (i.e. knowledge of God) is what we wish for the people.” Then he said, “O bedouin! To say that God is one, has four (possible) meanings, two of which are not permissible concerning God, the Mighty and Majestic, and two of which are established concerning HIM. As for the two which are not permissible concerning Him, (the first is) the saying of him (a person) who says “One’ has in mind the category of numbers. Now this is not permissible, for that which has no second does not enter into the category of numbers. Have you not seen that he who says that HE is “the third of three” is of the unbelievers? And (the second) the saying of him (a person) who says “He is one of mankind” - meaning that He is one kind within the species. This is not permissible because it is a comparison, and our Lord is greater than that and high above it. As for the two meanings which are established concerning Him, (the first is) the saying of him who says, “He is one, there is no likeness (shabah) unto Him among things” such is our Lord. And (the second is) the saying of him who says “Surely HE , the Mighty and Majestic, is single in meaning (ahadi al - ma’naa), intending by that HE is not divided by existence, the power of reason or imagination. Such is our Lord, the Mighty and Majestic”. It is not possible to quote oceans of knowledge given by Hazrat Ali Ibn Abu Talib A.S. regarding the existence and oneness of Almighty Allah S.W.T. and other numerous things covering USOOL. FUROO’A and all branches of worldly and divine knowledge. The reader is therefore invited to read and understand books of his sermons letters - “NAHJUL BALAGHA” - and supplications - SAHEEFA - E - ALAWIYYA” and of his sayings. When we go through his full history and also the history of the remaining eleven HOLY IMAM A.S., the treasure of worldly as well as divinely knowledge that maybe derived is beyond assessment. Also books like (volumes of) AL KAAFI, SAHEEFA - E - KAAMELA, AL - HAYAAT, SEERAT - E - AMEERUL MO’AMENEEN A.S., TA’HZEEBUL ISLAM, ANWAARUNNO’-AMANIYYAH, SHIITE CREED, THE OCCULTATION OF TWELFTH IMAM A.S., EARLY HISTORY OF ISLAM, KASHFUL GHUMMAH, A’AMALI (BY SHEIKH MUFID A.R.), AAMALI (BY SHEIKH TUSI A.R.), AL GHADEER, TOHFUL UQOOL, AQAED (BY ALLAMA HILLI A.R.) and also THEN I WAS GUIDED (BY DR. MOHAMED TIJANI SAMAWI) and similar other books. All the God - appointed Prophets and Imams have preached the same thing as far as beliefs or fundamentals are concerned. None differed even in explaining His Unity or the positive attributes through which we can call and crave to Him. It is only the gross injustice of human beings that they tried to mutilate the teachings of the Holy Prophets to suit their conveniences and the conveniences of those who were rich and in charge of worldly power so that they may be worshipped or followed. Such people who tried to mutilate and change the actual fundamentals as well as orders of the true CREATOR have even changed the contents of the previous holy books - namely TAWRET (Torah), Zuboor and Injeel (Bible) wherever they could. People also tried to change the Holy Quraan but they failed: even in the last decade they printed the Holy Book with their invented additions which did not stand even the lowest ebb of eloquence, let alone the depth of knowledge, and therefore even the common (not very learned) Muslims rejected them. The copies of that print were secretly put in the mosques but no sooner the fact was known all such copies were searched for and put into the sea so that the respect for the true text should not be insulted. Even on the internet web under the guise of a Muslim mosque - from America - they try to say that the KALEMAH (the verses through the seious pronouncement of which a person becomes a Muslims) does not contain the acceptance of the Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W. and they further state that this has been added by SUNNIS and SHIAS. They try to put into the minds of people that ALLAH S.W.T. has no where proclaimed the prophethood of (HARZRAT) MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W., and under this trickery act they tend to deceive and mislead the world so that people follow them and their hidden masters, and they not only take them to fires of hell but create misunderstanding about true Islam which offers salvation in this world as well as in the next which is everlasting. The so called ‘mosques’ which are purely built to misguide and divide the believers are termed as “MASJID - E - ZORAR” and are to be destroyed as per God’s order - see AYAT 107 - SURAT - U TAWBAH (9). In order to first prove the falsity and blatant transgression of these people against the SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. and the HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. we quote below a couple of open declaration of ALLAH S.W.T. about the HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. in His Holy Book QURAAN. Sura No. 7: SURA - E - A’ARAAF - AYAT (VERSE) 158 - SECTION (PARA.) 9. قل ياايها ا لناس ا ني رسول الله ا ليكم جميعا ا للذي له ملك ا لسموت وا لارض لا ا له ا لاهو يحي و يميت فاامنوا بالله ورسوله النبي ا لامي يوِء من بالله و كلمته و ا لنبعوه لعلكم تهتدون Say (O’ Our Apostle Muhammad) “O ye people, verily I am the Apostle of God unto you all of Him unto whom belongeth the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; No god is there but HE. HE giveth life and causeth death, so believe ye in God and HIS APOSTLE PROPHET, the ‘Ummi” who believeth in GOD and HIS WORDS, So ye follow him that ye may be guided aright.” (In Arabic the word ا لاه (ILAAH) means the one who is capable of being worshipped.) SURA No. 33: SURA TUL AHZAAB, VERSE No. 40 - PART 22 ماكان محمد ا با ا حد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله و خاتم ا لنبين و كان الله بكل شيي عليما “MUHAMMAD is not the father of any of your men (males), but an Apostle of God and the Seal of the Prophets; And God is of all things - ever the Knower.” SURA No. 3: SURA - E - AALE IMRAAN, VERSE 143, PART 4 وما محمد ا لا رسول قد خلت من قبله ا لرسل “And Muhammad is not but an Apostle, (other) Apostles have already passed away prior to him;” There are several verses in the Holy Quraan yet such people disguising themselves as Muslims are trying to misguide the world at large since they are part and parcel of the same team who tortured and killed so many of the true Prophets of GOD and changed the texts of the previous Holy Books. In fact, they tortured the true believers also, but the latter did not change their course from the true path and were therefore sacrificed. (See also SURA No. 57: SURA-E-HADEED - VERSE No. 7- PART No. 27 (SIPARA) The first quoted verse clearly and emphatically orders to believe in God and HIS Apostle Prophet - that is to say that the belief or its declaration in God only is not enough. HE has ordered that the belief in His Apostle Prophet (HAZRAT MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W.) is inseparable from belief in HIM and must be done together - so any declaration of the right belief compulsorily incorporates the declaration in the belief of HIS PROPHET (MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W.).

Chapter 2 cont
Now let us see what is the order for those who do not believe in both - that is their declaration of faith consists of only belief in GOD. For this refer (SURA No. 48) SURA - E - FAT’H, VERSE No. 13, - PART 26. which states: ومن لم يومن بالله ورسوله فانا ا عتدنا للكفرين سعيرا “And whoever believeth not in God and His Apostles, verily We have prepared for the disbelievers the flaming fire.” The verse again clearly says about those who do not have these two inseparable beliefs - in GOD and HIS PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. - firstly, that they are DISBELIEVERS and secondly, that GOD has prepared for them the flaming fire of HELL. To those who disguise themselves as Muslims, yet their declaration of faith is of GOD only, then ALMIGHTY ALLAH catagorises them as KAFIRS and their ultimate place of abode is hell. Everyone must realise that they are not Muslims at all according to ALMIGHTY ALLAH HIMSELF. They are in fact the agents of the enemies of Islam and they try their utmost to divide and kill Muslims and also try to eliminate Islam. In reality, they are the inheritors of those who killed GOD-APPOINTED Prophets in the past; and when the Prophethood ended, they killed GOD-APPOINTED HOLY IMAMS and this is why GOD has ordered the last HOLY IMAM MEHDI A.S. to go into occultation and protect Islam until HE orders him to re-appear. The HOLY IMAMS (ALAIHEMUSSALAAM) who are the true vicegerents of the HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. and duly appointed by ALLAH S.W.T. preached the same thing as the HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. and therefore their worldly rights were bereaved and they were tortured extremely and killed by the tyrant forces. A few quotations from two of the HOLY IMAMS were given before and although the benefits of the oceans of knowledge instilled in them by ALLAH S.W.T. cannot be derived until the authentic versions of their history and teaching is gone through seriously, we quote below a portion of the explanation given by the HOLY IMAM ALI AL-REHDA A.S. - THE EIGHTH HOLY IMAM A.S. on the Unity of GOD. IMAM ALI AL-REDHA A.S. said: (inter alia) “So HIS names are an expression (taabeer), HIS acts are (a way) to make (Him) understood, and HIS Essence is Reality (Haqiqah). His inmost centre (kunh) separates HIM from creation, and HIS otherness limits what is other than HE. Therefore, ignorant of GOD is he who asks for HIM to be described! Transgressing against HIM is he who seeks to encompass HIM! Mistaken is he who imagines to have fathomed HIM!” Now before proceeding further, let us try to recapitulate some of the facts proved logically in the Foundation Booklet or in this one, and then ask ourselves where we stand. As the long survival of a well built building depends on its foundation and of a tree on the strength of its roots (its foundation), so is the real eternal survival of a religion which is built up on TRUE BELIEFS. If the foundation is even strong yet tilted, the whole building will be titled, since the tilt in the foundation is not right - that is to say that it is WRONG, it is ERRONEOUS and the same remarks will apply to the building over it. The proper engineers will cancel both the foundation and the building as dangerous to people and un-inhabitable. SAME IS THE CASE WITH RELIGION. IF THE FUNDAMENTALS, BASICS OR BELIEFS, WHICH FORM THE FOUNDATION, ARE WRONG - NOT TRUTH - OR ERRONEOUS, BOTH THE BELIEFS AND THE ACTIONS BASED ON THEM ARE CANCELLED AS DISASTROUS FOR THOSE BELIEVING IN AND ACTING UPON RULES BASED ON THEM. In religious terms, the combination of the beliefs and the orders of actions based on these beliefs is called “MADH’HAB”. If the beliefs are TRUTH, the orders for actions based on them are RIGHT, but if they (the beliefs) are wrong or erroneous, the actions based on these orders are WRONG, UNTRUE AND DETRIMENTAL. MADH’HAB in ordinary sense means a path or road. The road to a destination is either RIGHT or WRONG. Since any road going in the opposite direction to the RIGHT OR CORRECT ROAD is the WRONG ROAD. The more a person goes on traveling on the wrong road - WRONG MADH’HAB - (which is in opposite direction to the RIGHT ONE) he will go on becoming more and more away from the correct destination and nearer to the disaster. But if he goes on the RIGHT road - RIGHT MADH’HAB - he will be coming nearer and nearer to the RIGHT DESTINATION of Everlasting Peace and Prosperity. No really sensible person would like to take the wrong path and face disaster. Everyone would like to follow the right path and be placed in heaven. The HOLY FIRST IMAM HAZRAT ALI IBN ABU TALIB A.S. WAS ASKED: يا علي ما ا لعقل ؟ - OH ALI! WHAT IS AQL - (SENSE). The Holy Imam replied: ا لعقل من عبد به الرحمان - SENSE (AQL) IS THAT THROUGH وكسب به الجنان WHICH OBEDIENCE TO THE MERCIFUL ALMIGHTY IS ACCOMPLISHED AND THROUGH WHICH PARADISE IS EARNED. So when we are faced with the problem of beliefs, our sense must direct us to the GOD-APPOINTED GUIDES - that is HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND HOLY IMAMS A.S. so that we may follow the right path. Because people tend to misguide, the HOLY IMAMS A.S. HAVE clearly directed that if someone quotes us as having said something compare it with the HOLY QURAAN, if it does conform to it, then accept it, but if it goes against the HOLY QURAAN, then reject it as a lie and not having said by any of us. Accordingly, if someone presents to us the concept of GOD which does not conform to the explanation given in this and the Foundation Booklet we must not accept it. We must first put it to the test of POSITIVE and NEGATIVE attributes. If the CONCEPT strictly conforms to the POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES and also does not consist or incorporate any NEGATIVE ATTRIBUTES then only it must be accepted as a correct one. But should any of the POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES be missing or the concept may not be rejecting all the negative attributes - that is to say that if it may be incorporating as positive even one of the NEGATIVE ATTRIBUTES then it must be rejected as not the concept of true GOD. You have already understood that the POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES are those which do apply to the CREATOR and we can remember and CRAVE to HIM by the names of the POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES while the NEGATIVE ATTRIBUTES must be rejected from HIS BEING. As for HIS EXISTENCE, ONENESS and ATTRIBUTES applicable and in-applicable, there are hundreds of verses in the HOLY QURAAN so the true belief that is being explained in these booklets - (right from the foundation booklet to the end of this series which will be on QAYAAMAT - the Day of Judgment) are adequately supported by the verses of HOLY QURAAN . Although, it is not possible to quote all the verses, we shall quote a few of them. However, those interested to go through all the verses may obtain the copies of HOLY QURAAN with translation and commentary (explanation) by each MAULANA FARMAN ALI SAHEB and by S.V. MIR AHMED ALI. The former also includes index of topics from which reference becomes easier to both, and the latter contains more detailed explanation and also historical introduction and sermons etc. It will be noted that one verse or part thereof may incorporate more than one fact. For example: Part of Verse 255 of SURAT-UL-BAQARAH (2nd SURA) - Section 3 (SIPARA) states: الله لا اله ا لاهو ا لحي ا لقيوم “Allah! There is no God (capable of worship) but HE, the Alive, the Eternal.” self-subsistent). This part of verse proves HIS EXISTENCE, HIS BEING ALIVE (HAY), HIS BEING ETERNAL (QADEEM), and it negates the existence of all other gods except HE. The middle portion of that verse refers to HIS ALL KNOWLEDGE and the last part states “HE is the MOST HIGH and MOST GREAT.” Again the last part of the next verse (No. 256) states: وا لله سميع عليم “And Verily Allah is All-Hearing, All Knowing”. These point out to the POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES - MUDRIK and AALIM. The last part of Verse 261 and 268 states: وا لله وا سع عليم “And God is Omniscient, All Knowing”. (AALIM) SURA - E - HADEED (SURA No. 57) Verse No. 2 states: له ملك السموت وا لارض يحي ويميت وهو علي كل شيي قدير “HIS is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; HE causeth life and causeth death, and HE, over all hath power.” This demonstrate that HE is the CREATOR and ALL POWER (QADIR), and also creates and does everything with HIS wish (MUREED).
Again the same sura but the next verse i.e. verse no. 3 states: هو ا لاول وا لاخر و ا لظاهر وا لباطن وهو بكل شيي عليم “HE is the First and the Last and the Manifest and the Hidden: and HE is the Knower of all things.” This refers to HIS ETERNITY (QADEEM), HIS ALL KNOWLEDGE (AALIM) and refutes the restriction of HIM (neither HULOOL nor MAKAAN) SURA - E - QASAS (SURA No. 28) VERSE No. 68 PART 20 (SIPARA) states: وربك يخلق مايشاء ويختار ماكان لهم الخيره سبحن الله وتعلي عما يشركون “And thy Lord createth whatever He Willeth and chooseth too; they have not any choice (it is not theirs to choose); Glorified (Hallowed) is Allah and Exhaulted High is He (far) above what they associate (with Him).” This verse manifest the positive attributes “MUREED” and “QAADIR” and negates from HIM the negative attribute of “SHAREEK”. Take the famous SURA - E - IKHLAAS, which the Muslims recite in daily prayers. SURA No. 112 PART 30. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قل هو الله احد الله الصمد لم يلد ولم يلد ولم يكن له كوفوا احد “In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Say HE, ALLAH is ONE (alone) Allah, the Needless, HE begetteth not, nor is He Begotten and there is none like unto HIM.” This sura manifest HIS ONENESS, and negates the idea of need for him, that is it is negation of EHTEYAAJ (negative attribute) also negation of companionship, associate, son and all sorts of comparisons including SHAREEK, also it is negation of HULOOL, since hulool amounts to “Shirk - fit -Tauheed.” It also negates MURAKKAB, MAHALLE-HAWADIS, MAKAAN and SIFAT - E - ZAED for HIM. SURA - E - AN’AAM (SURA No. 6) VERSE 104, SECTION (SIPARA) 7 لاتدركه الابصار وهو يدرك الابصار اللطيف الخبير “Vision perceiveth Him not, and He perceiveth (all) vision; He is the Subtle, the All-Aware.” This verse negates His being visible - that is the negative attribute “MAR’EE”, whereas it emphasises on His being “MUDRIK”, “QADIR” and “AALIM”. SURA - E - HAA MEEM (SURA No. 41) VERSE 21, SECTION (SIPARA) 24 وقالوا لجلودهم لم شهدتم علينا قالوا انطقنا الله الذي انطق كل شيي وهو خلقكم اول مره وا ليه ترجعون “And they shall say unto their skins: “why witness ye against us?” They (their skins) shall say: “Caused us to speak God who maketh everything speak, and He it is Who created you for the first time, and unto Him ye shall (all) be returned.” This verse demonstrates the positive attribute of “MUTAKALLIM” as well as HIS ALL-POWER and the day of judgment. Similarly, verse No. 65 of SURA - E - YASEEN (SURA No. 36) - Section (Sipara) 23, and also VERSE No. 4 of SURA - E - RAHMAAN (SURA No. 55) - section (Sipara) 27 also demonstrate HIS UTMOST KINDNESS, POWER and also the attribute of MUTAKALLIM. SURA - E - NISAA (SURA No. 4), VERSE No. 87, SECTION (SIPARA) 5 الله لا ا له ا لاهو ليجمعنكم الي يوم القيمه لاريب فيه و من اصدق من الله حديثا “Allah! there is no God but He! He will certainly gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection; there is no doubt in it; who can be more True in Word than Allah?’ This verse demonstrates the Day of Judgment, negation of all gods and belief in Allah S.W.T. and the positive attributes of QADIR and SAADIQ. There are several verses to support what has been explained in the previous pages and in the foundation booklet, proving the truth of the belief that is being explained. We have quoted a few verses only so that the reader is convinced that the belief conforms with the HOLY QURAAN. Those who are interested to go more into the subject can refer and study thoroughly the Translation and explanations on the verses of the Holy Quraan by S.V. MIR AHMED ALI. The reader will therefore realise that this is the ABSOLUTELY TRUE BELIEF and is unchallengeable since each of the FUNDAMENTALS of this belief has been logically proved and is also supported by GOD’s HOLY BOOK. So those who may disguise themselves as Muslims but are trying to misguide will be unable to distract the reader from knowing THE RIGHT BELIEF and thereby THE RIGHT PATH. When further discussion will be made in this series of booklets on ADL (JUSTICE), PROPHETHOOD, IMAMAT (KHILAAFAT), and QAYAAMAT (the Day of Judgment), apart from further logical proofs, a few verses from the HOLY QURAAN will be quoted to support each of the FUNDAMENTALS of BELIEF. In fact, God sent all the Holy Prophets to preach the same belief and therefore God’s religion is only one. All His Prophets preached the same belief except that the declaration of the Prophet of the time was necessary along with the declaration of Allah S.W.T., whilst declaring one’s acceptance of the TRUE FAITH as ordained by Allah S.W.T.. The mode of some religious orders - FUROO - E - DEEN - slightly differed in intensity etc. to conform to the length of ages and physical and other abilities of human beings of the time. Still even at that time, the belief in the Prophets to come and likewise in the Holy Imams was necessary. The belief in Justice of Allah S.W.T. was also inseparable as was the belief in the Day of Judgment. And this is the TRUE FAITH which is called ISLAM in Arabic Language. The meaning of the word ISLAM is “submission to the Will of God.” Allah S.W.T. in His HOLY BOOK - QURAAN quite clearly declares in SURA - E - AALE IMRAAN (SURA No. 3) VERSE No. 18 - SECTION (SIPARA) 3. ا ن ا لد ين عند الله الاسلام “Verily, the religion with God is ISLAM”... In the same SURA No. 3 VERSE No. 84 ALLAH S.W.T. says: ومن يبتخ غير الاسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الاخره من الخسيرين “And whosoever seeketh any religion other than Islam (total resignation unto God) never shall it be accepted from him and in the next world he shall be among the losers.” Again, in the same SURA 3 (AALE IMRAAN) Verse No. 66 Allah S.W.T. says: ماكان ابراهيم يهوديا ولا نصرانيا ولكن كان حنيفا مسلما وما كان من ا لمشركين “Abraham was neither Jew nor Christian; but upright in faith a Muslim; and he was not of the polytheists.” When HAZRAT IBRAHIM A.S. (Abraham) built the Holy Kaaba with his son HAZRAT ISMAEEL (Ishmael), then they craved to Almighty Allah S.W.T. and among their cravings was the following which is demonstrated in the HOLY QURAAN. SURA - E - AL - BAQARAH (2nd SURA) Verse No. 128 ربنا و اجعلنا مسلمين للك ومن ذريتنا امه مسلمه للك وارنا منا سكنا وتب علينا انك انت ا لتواب ا لرحيم “Our Lord! Make us (two) Muslims submitting (only) to Thee and of our progeny (make) a group submissive (only) to Thee, And show us the ways of Devotion and turn to us (Mercifully) for Verily Thou and Thou (alone) art the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful.” Also HAZRAT IBRAHIM A.S. (Abraham) and HAZRAT YAQOOB A.S.(Jacob) have stated to their sons as a bequest and this is stated in the HOLY QURAAN in the same Sura - that is SURA - TUL AL BAQARAH (2nd SURA) Verse No. 132. ووصي بها ابراهيم بنبيه و يعقوب يبني ان الله اصطفي لكم الدين فلا تموتن الا وانتم مسلمون “And this did Abraham bequeth to his sons and so (did) Jacob; (saying) “O my sons! Verily God hath chosen for you the religion (Islam) therefore ye die not but as ‘Muslims’.”

Chapter 2 cont
It will be observed from the foregoing that no God-Appointed Prophet differed in the matter of belief or preached a belief that may be even slightly different from that preached by his predecessor. Logic also directs us that it must be so. Human being, who is grossly deficient in knowledge, does not produce or make anything without a definite purpose and he also decides the means of achieving that purpose. He does not waver from the set purpose and appoints his representatives himself and ensures that they are such representatives who are thoroughly conversant with the purpose and do not divert from the set goal. So how can one venture to even imagine that THE ALL PERFECT CREATOR, ALL POWER, ALL KNOWLEDGE and the CREATOR OF KNOWLEDGE would have differing aims for human beings or appoint HIS representatives who waver in preaching HIS aim or purpose or have differences therein? It is the mischief and tyranny of human beings, with their foul motives and greed for power, wealth and superiority over others, that has brought differences and misconceptions and misguidance in this world. To achieve their dirty motives they obstructed the holy preachings, they killed the Prophets after torturing them in various manners which even the wildest beast would not do. They altered the holy scriptures and books so much so that the followers of those have begun to realise fully well that they are not the original scriptures in entirety, but perhaps in part of them only. To give an example of how human beings have altered the holy books, please refer to the holy bible printed in London by Eyre and Spotteswoode Ltd., (Her Majesty’s Printers) in the section of New Testament. On page 3, there is ‘The Gospel according to St. Matthew,’ Chapter 1 begins as follows: 1. “The book of the “generation of Jesus Christ,” the son of David, the son of Abraham.” Again, para 16 of the same chapter reads: 16. And Jacob beget Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called “Christ.” (It is interesting to read the whole chapter containing 25 paragraphs.) The above gospel compared to ‘The Gospel according to ‘St. Mark’ given on page 31 starts as follows: 1. The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ “ the Son of God.” 2. As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. It will be observed that in the same book Jesus has been shown as the son of David, the son of Joseph, as well as, the son of God, and as a prophet also. In fact Hazrat Isa (Jesus) was the Prophet of God and not the son of God. He has neither a wife nor a son; He is neither begotten nor has He begotten anyone as already quoted from the HOLY QURAAN SURA - E - IKHLAAS (SURA No. 112) - (See earlier) and also see (SURA No. 17) SURA - E - BANI ISRAEEL, VERSE No.111 - PART (SIPARA) 15, which states: وقل الحمد لله ا لذي لم يتخذ ولدا ولم يكن له شريك في ا لملك ولم يكن له له ولي من ا لذ ل وكبره تكبيرا “And say thou” (ALL) Praise is God’s, Who hath not taken unto Him a son and Who hath not a partner in the Kingdom and there is not for Him any helper against any humility, and proclaim thou His Greatness magnifying (His Glory)” Also in the Foundation Booklet, Verse No. 30 of Sura No. 9 - SURA - E - TAUBA was quoted. Please refer that booklet for understanding. There are numerous verses to this effect in the HOLY QURAAN and one may go through them if interested. The gist is that the same holy bible contains two contradictory images of Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus was born to Virgin Mary (Hazrat Maryam A.S.) and had no father. Allah S.W.T. created Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Hawwa (Adam and Eve) without father or mother, simply upon HIS ORDER . And HE created Jesus (Hazrat Isa A.S.) with mother only - without father - also upon HIS ORDER. It was proved logically that the SELF EXISTING ULTIMATE CAUSE - that is - the CREATOR must be All Knowledge, All Perfect, All Power - Omniscient, Omnipotent - and we see perfectness in His creation and oceans of knowledge hidden therein so much so that despite centuries of researches human beings are still finding more and more knowledge latent in the same things that they had made their researches upon. Gates of knowledge go on opening day after day as they go deeper and deeper in their research of the same thing. And also that after so many researches, human beings have not been able to even know all things or rather small percentage of things created by Him on this earth - leaving aside those on other planets and on the universe. Accordingly, Islam and all the Prophets and Holy Imams, who were God-appointed, preached the same belief of His All Perfectness, His All Knowledge and His being all Power. Yet, if you read the same bible under the Old Testament - Genesis 6 - para 6, it reads as follows: “6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” It means that creating of human being was his mistake and he had no knowledge of it before and so his action was imperfect. To say such things for GOD is the gravest insult and false accusation against Him. Any one who maintains such belief of imperfectness of God, whether he is of a different religion or he may be disguising himself as a Muslim, is not a believer of the right path, but is a tyranny against the ALL PERFECT, ALL KNOWLEDGE, and ALL POWER CREATOR. ISLAM, the only religion of GOD - right from the start of the creation - and also the creation of man - Adam and Eve - on this earth preached of the same beliefs through God-appointed Prophets who never gave any impression of imperfectness of the Real Creator: - on the contrary they having been bestowed with knowledge by the SUPREME CREATOR, preached of HIS All Perfectness and All Knowledge. THE ALL PERFECT GOD does not leave anything imperfect. HE does everything with ALL KNOWLEDGE, ALL POWER and ALL PERFECTNESS. He is not in need of anything or anyone, and it is only HIS MERCY that HE has appointed HIS PROPHETS and IMAMS of the like genus as a human being so that they, apart from preaching, could demonstrate practically within human powers and abilities the type of obedience a human being ought to observe for his Creator’s wishes after acquiring the knowledge preached by the HOLY PROPHETS and IMAMS. This is why, despite having been bestowed by super natural powers by the Almighty, they did not make use of those powers and tolerated tortures, tyrannies etc. from the human beings and sacrificed for HIS sake. We agreed logically - in the Foundation Booklet - that the ULTIMATE (or FIRST) CAUSE, who is the CREATOR, must be SELF EXISTING, ALL POWER, ALL KNOWLEDGE and cannot be limited in any way or by any sense of imagination. If anyone thinks of or considers something which “came into existence” as God, then he has made the gravest mistake since common sense tells us that anything that “came into existence” was not in existence before and therefore it is either CREATED or MADE, so it can only be and intermediary cause but not an Ultimate or First Cause and therefore, not the real CREATOR. Let us now take any of the Prophets - it may be Hazrat Isa A.S. (Jesus) who “came into existence” through a sacred mother only - Virgin Mary - or Hazrat Adam A.S. (and Hazrat Hawwa A.S. - Eve) born without father and mother - all by the order of ALLAH S.W.T. - the CREATOR. There was a time when they did not exist and then ‘came into existence’ so treating them or any such creation as god is flagrant violence against the real CREATOR. So treating as God the ‘intermediate cause, which ‘came into existence’ is also treating as God the one who is NOT All-Power or All Knowledge, in dire need of something, dependent on someone for its existence, limited in its existence etc.. The one who has all these limitation can never be the CREATOR. ALL - JUST GOD has gifted human beings (and Jinn) with talent and also sent His Prophets and Imams to give the true guidance and gave them the free will to either be obedient to the Creator and earn the un-describable benefits of such obedience or follow the path which He has abstained human beings (and Jinn) from and earn the disastrous fate of which He has warned through His Prophets and Imams.
The Supreme Benefactor, through these Prophets and Imams appointed by Himself and His Holy Book explained, to those creations having been bestowed with talents, the purpose of their creation and the means of fulfilling the purpose of their creation. The one who endeavours to achieve the purpose by means of the true guidance from the Creator will reap the benefits, but those who take the guidance from other than God-appointed Guides will suffer eternal punishment for ignoring HIM. God loves His creation - human beings - more than seventy times a mother would love her child, but this human being, because of his greed and unfairness, goes on ignoring Him and committing crimes against Him to his own detriment. Consider a person obliges you by offering you a lift from your place of work to your house and on the way he also gave you something to eat and drink. On your part you, whilst still in the car of your benefactor, eating the food and drinking the tea he provided you with, start ignoring him and spitting into his car. What will the onlooker tell you? Surely, he will tell you that you are worst than an animal - you have lost all the norms of humanity. Even if he had offered you a lift and no food, yet if whilst in the car or at the end of your trip if you do not thank the man who offered you the lift, the onlooker will have the same remarks. Such a short span of common obligation, if not appreciated by thanks to the benefactor, makes a person fall from the eyes of everyone. Consider the innumerable uncountable, unassessable, unimaginable obligations of the Creator at every second upon us, so much so that we are unable to rightly thank Him for even one obligation. Yet despite our so many shortcomings, errors and deliberate ignoring of His orders, He is continually showering His Bounties upon us. Don’t you feel that we must bow down to Him always to seek His forgivance and go on thanking Him continually for His bounties and favours? Human senses make one obliged to do more than that and yet rightly feel that one has not been able to thank Him for even one of His bounties. Sense and logic tell us to keep HIS LOVE always in our hearts and the awareness of HIS EVER PRESENCE always ‘live’ in our bosoms, which will lead us to submit ourselves in total obedience to HIM in the matter of Belief as well as actions in accordance with HIS orders. Whenever we think of anything bad and we have the feeling of His presence, we shall immediately start apologising to Him before we even bring that deed in action. So keeping the memory of Allah S.W.T. keeps us aways from committing sins. It must be realised that Allah S.W.T. is not only the CREATOR but HE is the SUSTAINER of everything also. Look around yourself and ponder over the innumerable things created by HIM you can see with your eyes: Various types of grass, plants, trees sand, earth, stones, rocks, mountains, clouds, sun, moon, stars, sky, birds, animals, reptiles, insects and so many other things in the sea also - the oceans, rivers, springs, fish and water itself are all directly or indirectly giving constant benefits to human beings. Again, there are innumerable things around us that we cannot see are also constantly benefiting us: the air consisting oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and several other gases, the heat, the cold, the sun’s rays and those of moon and stars and their timings are all giving constant benefit to human beings. As for the example of timing of these, people may not know that the moonlight creates and adds to the sweetness of fruits but during the last almost three nights the moon is not visible (i.e. 2½ days). If the moon was to be seen during these nights, then all sweet fruits would turn sour. Man is grossly ignorant of the CREATOR’s Most Perfect set up of each and every created thing. His research of only a few of those things, which he has been able to search into to a very lesser extent, has earned him treasures of knowledge. Allah S.W.T. has drawn the attention of human beings towards HIS BOUNTIES and invited him to ponder sensibly over things he sees around him. For this, go through the HOLY QURAAN and look for those places where HE has drawn human attention to sensibly ponder over various things and matters. Even the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. and the Holy Imams A.S. have given innumerous guidance for human benefits of this world also and have explained the type of benefits that will derive from various things, actions etc.. The enemies of the right religion of Allah would not tolerate the diffusion and pervasion of the facts so they tried their level best to torture the Holy Imams A.S. and burnt several volumes of books of their teachings. However, those in the search of the right knowledge had passed copies of many of the books to other countries of their residence or to foreign countries to save the knowledge. Consequently, a library of these Arabic books was established in Spain where the western people, after learning Arabic, went through these books and found treasures of knowledge hidden therein. So they took those books to their countries and translated them into English and other languages and made researches therefrom. For this please read the preface of General Science Book 4. One of the millions of benefits derived therefrom is the Algebra, which can solve most complicated mathematical problems and that is dedicated to Jabir Ibn Hayyan whom the first Holy Imam Ali A.S. had given this knowledge. There are several other medical, atomic, electric, electronic, botanic and other legal, technical, administrative, economic, scientific and in fact any knowledge you name is derived from the researches based on the knowledge imparted by the Holy Imams A.S., TEHZEEB - UL - ISLAM is one of the books which includes a few of the Holy Imam’s sayings, although if thought and acted upon will provide success to the follower in this world and the next also. However, those interested to learn more may go through the authentic books of the lives and teachings of the Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. and the Holy Imams A.S., lot of which are in Arabic or Persian or translated into Urdu language. It is very sad that human greed, injustice and bias has turned this world into an arena, where owing to their greed of supremacy, they massacre, directly and indirectly, thousands of lives daily either by actually taking their lives or ruining them morally or financially or in other ways. There are so many good people on this earth for whom life has become difficult due to the tyranny of such injustices of people who are in power - one way or the other - and do not care for the orders of the CREATOR. Under circumstances, logic tells us that it would be injustice if those suffering owing to other people’s tyrannies are not rewarded with justice and the tyrants punished severely. The UTMOST JUST CREATOR has, therefore, appointed the Day of Judgment which the logic and true intellect accepts it as a definite necessity of Justice and one of the fundamentals of belief in HIS JUSTICE. It will, therefore, be realised that HIS JUSTICE as well as the Day of Judgment (QAYAAMAT) are inseparable Fundamentals. HIS appointing of Prophets and the vicegerent - Holy Imams A.S. - is also inseparable part of HIS JUSTICE. This brings us to the conclusion that belief in ALLAH S.W.T. itself incorporates the other four fundamentals namely: ADL, NUBUWWAT, IMAMAT AND QAYAAMAT. (for meanings see beginning of Chapter 1.) Consequently, it is quite logic that a Believer is the one who through the bottom of his heart believes in all the five fundamentals given in the first chapter and also proves his sincerity through acting upon the orders of the CREATOR based on these fundamentals. We had given logical proofs of these five fundamentals in our FOUNDATION BOOKLET, but in order to add to the level of understanding of these most important basics upon which our ever-lasting prosperity depends, we shall discuss slightly further on the other fundamentals in this series of booklets of which this first one is on TAWHEED (Oneness of Allah S.W.T.). Although, we can fill volumes as we go on deeper into this first topic of TAWHEED but as our aim is to provide the level of a common man’s understanding of the basics of Islam and at the same time abridge the text to the most minimum, we shall endeavour to achieve these aims and therefore, pray to Almighty Allah S.W.T. to enable us to convey this very basic or first level of understanding to the readers and we also pray to HIM that this literature may arouse the readers’ interest in getting better and deeper understanding of the subject and thereby the desire of going through the authentic books and the true commentary of the HOLY QURAAN. Needless to say that the deeper the understanding of the right faith the greater will be the obedience to Almighty’s orders, and again, the more will be the respect for the God-appointed guides - Prophets and Imam A.S.. Before we conclude this booklet on TAWHEED it is opportune to remind the reader that in our Foundation Booklet under the topic of ADL in the last paragraphs, we had mentioned that Allah S.W.T. has by HIS MERCY kept within our body the machinery or process to rectify the imbalances caused due to our erroneous actions which the scientists may not have realised so far. That booklet was dated 23rd January 1998 and not very far away from that date researchers have realised that cancer-fighting gene is existing in human bodies. This was advertised in one of the Gulf newspaper called “Khaleej Times” dated 28th April 1998, on page 4. In the same paragraph of our booklet, we had stated that every turn in every vein and in every capillary has an effect on the body. When research will be made on this, the enormous bounties of the Almighty will be realised and if human beings possess any sense of humanity, they will leave their evil designs and prostrate to thank Almighty Allah S.W.T. for HIS kindness that is ever present with us during every part of a second. As we have seen earlier and also in the concluding explanations of this booklet that apart from the belief in HIS TAWHEED other four fundamentals are directly based on HIS JUSTICE (ADL) and therefore the booklet which will follow this (i.e. Book II) will give explanation on ADL, which, if grasped sincerely and properly, will make us desirous to strive for and follow the right path. After understanding the remaining fundamentals - all stemming from HIS JUSTICE - if we will start pondering over our behaviour, we shall start fearing the Just results of our action and therefore will crave sincerely for HIS forgiveness and thereby endeavour to correct our actions and the promised results of such correction will create LOVE FOR HIM in our hearts after realising how much HE loves us. Once the love for HIM is created in our hearts, our conscience will always feel HIS presence at what we think or intend and our conscience will immediately remind us of the SO INTENSELY LOVING GOD against whose orders we shall not dare to do anything. Thus, we will be protected from all wrong actions.

Chapter 2 cont
It must be noted that we have used the word ‘order’ above, but as explained in the Foundation Booklet, divine laws - rules - are of five types and each category must be understood. The reader is, therefore, advised to read the section on IMAMAT (Lesson No. 6) in that booklet to acquaint himself with each of them. Since they refer to (or are concerned with) actions, that is FUROO - E - DEEN and we are discussing USOOL - E - DEEN, we shall not go into their details at this stage, but it must be realised that this categorising is also perfectly logical. In contrast with GOD’s MERCY, human being have brought in all sorts of injustice which if described, would fill volumes and prove to everyone how they are trying to indirectly disprove what GOD has said about HIS MERCY AND BOUNTIES, and are trying to distract the other human being so that they believe what they say. To give an example which has affected every household in this world, try to think of “Economy” with which everyone is tied. So many - majority of the world population - is suffering from Economic problems which in fact have been created by those in power. Human being has split the system into “Capitalist Economy” and “Communist or Marxist Economy.” In preaching their economic idea, the Capitalists say that “The Basic economic problem is shortage of natural resources in comparison with the population needs.” Islam categorically refutes this lie. Please read SURA - E - HOOD (SURA No. 11) Verse No. 6; also SURA - E - R’AAD (SURA No. 13) Verse No. 26; also SURA - E - HIJR (SURA No. 15) Verses No. 19 to 22; SURA - E - FAATIR (SURA No. 35) Verse 3, and many other verses - at least twenty two verses. (Refer index of translation and commentary of the Holy Quraan by Maulana Farmaan Ali Saheb.) Marxist say that “Economic Problem is the problem of inconsistency between the FORM of Production and the Distribution relation.” God has made all arrangements of the existence and well being of HIS creations - (not only for human beings but all creations) before bringing them into existence and there cannot - NEVER - be even slightest shortage of human needs from GOD. It is the human atrocity which is keeping so many people without food for longer periods. Again, the nutritious elements produced by the earth in all foods, by Allah’s set up, are being polished off (e.g. polished rice etc.) by selfish man in order to deprive human beings from getting the benefits of GOD-CREATED nutrients and, therefore, remain weak and unable to see face to face with the power-hungry man. The same nutrient are then used to produce tablets so that the pockets of those under-nourished are further emptied out for the sake of loading the pockets of the selfish. Many Economic problems are created by this batch of greedy human beings and this is being used in political arena to play about with the masses. A very simple and straight forward honest, logical and intellectual example of the kindness of Allah S.W.T. is being given to prove how HE makes arrangements for the survival and development of human beings by producing his needs before he needs it. Think of the production of a human being in the mother’s womb. Before even the seed of the baby - to be is placed in the womb of the mother-to-be, she starts getting menses which will become the food for its build up and healthy nutrition in the mother’s womb. This is why when the mother-to-be becomes pregnant, her menses does no more flow out but is utilized for the baby-to-be. Think of the form (-blood ready for the formation and with full constituents) in which this is provided and through a single way (the Umbilical cord) direct to the belly of the baby. (Why direct to the belly and not through the mouth? Many reasons: but one of them is that drinking blood is HARAAM (prohibited) and GOD does not want this and all HIS prohibitions to change even in the womb of the mother). Now, when the child is complete in the mother’s womb, much before it is born, the mother starts getting milk in her breasts which even flows out before the child is born. A single way is now turned into two ways - double the arrangements than at the first stage. This double arrangement serves as food and water and continues for two full years after the baby is born, that is up to the time the child is sufficiently grown up and is also able to walk, chew and utilize the uncountable food items - i.e. multi-fold venues are opened up to the child. So GOD provides sufficient supply of all the needs for survival and development of his creatures much before they need it. Only power-hungry and wealth-hungry human beings through their dirty designs manipulate the UTMOST JUST arrangement and create economic problems to trample others. So when we probe into the facts and study the JUSTICE OF ALLAH S.W.T. we will realise how the human injustice is trying to torture others and yet divert others’ attentions and try to put the blame on NATURE (i.e. GOD) and thereby lead others to the wrong thinking - the wrong path. The knowledge of and belief in JUSTICE OF ALLAH S.W.T. is therefore very important and giving serious thought to each and every aspect of worldly problems keeping HIS UTMOST JUSTICE in mind we shall be able to identify the real culprits who have dressed themselves as helpers, savers, peace keepers and providers of animal rights. Islam directs and induces its followers to acquire TRUE KNOWLEDGE and use it in the RIGHT WAY which is ordained by THE CREATOR and also makes it obligatory upon those who have acquired that knowledge to any level to reach it to those who are below that level in the TRUE KNOWLEDGE. It is only after a man has from the innermost of his heart has believed the facts and fundamentals of religion (USOOL - E - DEEN) by logical and intellectual thinking that his inner conscience will direct him to follow the laws based on the TRUE BELIEF and avoid any type of injustice on this earth. Not only that, the deeper he studies the more he will feel the EVER PRESENCE of the MOST SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. and his all confidence will be on HIM and his love towards HIM will go on increasing. Therefore prayers and craving to HIM will give such person the inner peace in his bosom and he will feel greatest enjoyment and satisfaction in thus communicating with the Greatest and Deepest Loving CREATOR. Further, he will have deep sympathy for HIS creations and more so for those who suffer much by the human injustices referred to earlier and many more. It will also create great hatred for those who thus torture human beings directly or indirectly under the pretext of economics, defence, reformations etc. This is the main reason why the power and wealth hungry powers do not like people and especially the new generation to study religion that is going to guide them to the true path. They try to divert their attentions through media, education etc. towards violence, immorality and all sorts of programs that ruin the characters and the peace. If at all people will start following the RIGHT PATH, the tyrants will be hated by everyone and therefore, their strength and influence will vanish and they will be clearly exposed as the real culprits. They try to ruin the lives on this earth and also make people lose the good rewards of the next life and be their companions by ignoring the TRUE PATH, thereby losing both the worlds. so let us wake up and study the RIGHT BELIEF and thereby know the RIGHT PATH and act accordingly and make our children, the future generation, know and understand the RIGHT BELIEF and train them to strictly follow the RIGHT PATH so as to make us successful in both the worlds and bring about peace on this earth by weakening the wickeds through collective effort to act on the RIGHT PATH. We shall thus save ourselves, as well as, our generation from supporting the evils. Only in this way, the wicked will become weaker and weaker if concerted efforts are made to bring the facts of the RIGHT PATH to the minds of everyone and make them aware of their duties to fight the vices and earn the obedience of the SUPREME CREATOR.
