The word “QAYAAMAT” قيامت is derived from the wordقيام (Qayaam) which means ‘rising’, ‘standing upright’ or “resurrection”. Another word for it is also “Ma’aad” معاد which means “return”, “place where one returns to”, “resurrection” or “ the other world”.So the word “Qayaamat” indicates to us the pathway bridge to our final abode to which we have to return. And this world is a temporary abode from where we export the material for the construction of our final and everlasting abode. It depends on us, having been endowed with senses by the SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. (WHO also sent HIS DULY APPOINTED GUIDES for our benefit ) whether we follow HIM through the teachings by HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES and observe HIS RULES AND REGULATIONS or ignore them. HE has not forced us in anyway but HAS GUIDED us, through HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES – the HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S.- towards the right actions that would earn us un-imaginable awards and the best of the final everlasting abode. At the same time HE HAS also WARNED us of the worst ever permanent abode if we do not follow nor act according to HIS GUIDANCE THROUGH HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES or act against HIS ORDERS.

The type of our actions emanating from the type of our belief forms the type of material that we are exporting to the world of permanent abode for the type of construction which is going to take place HE has not forced us in anyway but HAS GUIDED us, through HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES – the HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S.- towards the right actions that would earn us un-imaginable awards and the best of the final everlasting abode. At the same time HE HAS also WARNED us of the worst ever permanent abode if we do not follow nor act according to HIS GUIDANCE THROUGH HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES or act against HIS ORDERS.

The type of our actions emanating from the type of our belief forms the type of material that we are exporting to the world of permanent abode for the type of construction which is going to take place.

It depends on us whether we are exporting material to the region that may construct (earn us ) palaces for us or whether we are exporting firewalls to the region which constructs the terribly burning ovens.It is up to us to select the location for our permanent abode and act strictly according to the rules for achieving the right object.

It is a well known fact that every action has and equal and opposite reaction, like : “respect begets respect”. So the reward of following the right path and ensuring good actions in accordance with the rules set by THE SUPREME CREATOR and avoiding bad actions prohibited BY HIM will be very highly rewarded to such an extent which is beyond human powers to estimate even the initial stage of it.

Even where one is employed, one has to strictly observe the rules and regulations of the employer’s office, and in fact some of the rules are not confined within the precincts of the office only, but apply in one’s daily life and the spectrum of such rules stretch beyond thinkable areas. Despite the fact that the employee is rendering services to the employer and is not being paid free, yet he has to observe the rules strictly, failing which the employer becomes entitled to take punitive action against the employee equal to the degree of the offence committed or the seriousness of the rule disregarded by the employee.

Going a step further, we take and example of a country in which one lives. All inhabitants of the country must strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Government of that country, failing which the offender will become liable to the type and degree of punishment in accordance with the type and seriousness of the offence, even if the country is not the personal property of anyone. For that matter, even deceiving or harming any of the ordinary inhabitants is a criminal offence and the offender becomes liable to punishment, let alone any offence against the Government itself, because in that case the offender is termed as a worst criminal and may be put to death – i.e. eliminated permanently from the world or given life imprisonment- i.e. eternal worldly punishment.

When an ordinary human government’s laws are ignored, the seriousness of their results is apparent to all sensible human beings, despite the fact that neither the whole land, nor all the properties therein belong to any single person.

Now consider the un-imaginable seriousness of ignoring even one of the rules of that SUPREME CREATOR’S GOVERNMENT to WHOM THE WHOLE DOMINION OF THE UNIVERSE BELONGS. Not only that, but everything that you see around you and also all those visibles that are far away from your sight and you cannot see also belong to HIM. Still further, all things that cannot be seen with human eyes – like gases, powers, talents and all such creations – belong to HIM.

Even each of the breath that you are taking which keeps you alive, healthy, capable, talented etc. and the contents and all the powers thereof combined with everything in your body and innumerable powers put therein belong to HIM.

The body, soul and all the amenities that you are enjoying and taking advantages thereof, even every content of food, breath, powers of vision and all the powers which HE has bestowed you with, belong to HIM. So if you want to thank HIM for even one single breath, your thanks are grossly deficient, since in thanking HIM you are using all the powers etc. which belong to HIM and HE has bestowed you with.

Despite these facts, HE IS SO KIND THAT HE ACCEPTS your thanks and reserves very high rewards for you provided you acknowledge sincerely from the depth of your heart HIS SUPREMACY AS THE ONLY CREATOR ( ALL POWER, ALL KNOWLEDGE, ETC) and at the same time acknowledge HIS APPOINTED GUIDES ( HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS DULY APPOINTED BY HIM ONLY) and act wholly according to their guidance – thereby demonstrating your honesty and truth of your BELIEF IN HIM AND IN HIS DULY APPOINTED GUIDES through your actions which must be according to the rules set by HIM which HIS DULY APPOINTED GUIDES have shown, and at the same time avoid all those acts prohibited by HIM.

Common sense and honesty directs us that when we are using something belonging to someone else, we must use it strictly according to his rules and directions and still thank him for letting us use it because without it we may not have achieved our purpose of using that thing.

Now, as we have realised that our body, all its powers and abilities, all the amenities around us that we use and even those of which we are unaware all belong to THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T.- then honesty directs us to use all these in accordance with HIS instructions and orders and keep us away from things and acts FORBIDDEN BY HIM. If we fail to act in that way by ignoring HIS ORDERS or, despite of being bestowed with talents, fail to acquire the right knowledge of HIS ORDERS AND PROHIBITIONS and do not follow them, then we have acted dishonestly and are liable to severe eternal punishment.

Because human beings may err, HE HAS GIVEN them time (i.e. life) to sincerely apologize and at the same time follow the RIGHT PATH ORDAINED BY HIM and not repeat the same thing since the repeating of sinful acts will be a proof that the apology was not sincere. HE IS SO KIND THAT HE ACCEPTS SINCERE APOLOGIES and has not kept immediate punishment for errors committed by human beings but given them chance – life long – to sincerely repent and come on the RIGHT PATH ORDAINED BY HIM and become a sincere Beliver.

It must be clarified that a Muslim is the one who has ostensibly accepted the existence of THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T., HIS 120,000 HOLY PROHETS WHOSE SUPREME AND LAST HOLY PROPHET IS HAZRAT MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. and accepted the coming of The Day of Judgement, yet he will not be considered as a BELIEVER until he accepts and sincerely follows the line of HOLY GUIDES APPOINTED BY ALLAH S.W.T. – i.e. THE HOLY 12 IMAMS - . For this you may refer Verse 14 of SURATUL HOJORAAT (Chapter 49 ) – because the accommodations in the heaven (Jannat) are only for those who become and die as BELIEVERS (MO’AMENEEN).

HE has promised forgiveness to HIS creation provided the apology is sincere and the individual corrects oneself AS ORDAINED BY HIM. This sort of apology is accepted by HIM for the sins which are between the individual and HIM. But if someone commits any act by which he has harmed someone else, then THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. will forgive only if first the harmed individual forgives or has been compensated according to HIS LAWS and only thereafter if the sincere forgiveness is sought for the part of crime concerning the committing of the act that was prohibited by HIM.

HE HAS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN the usurping of others’ rights even if the one whose rights are being usurped is of a different religion, caste, creed, country etc.. No one is allowed to use even a small pin belonging to someone else without his/her voluntary permission. The user may be the king of the country and the thing being used may even be belonging to a beggar, yet the king has no right to use it without first obtaining the voluntary permission of the beggar.

Consider what super degree of justice and tranquillity THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. wants HIS creatures (we) to maintain! If everyone would follow HIS ORDERS duly sent through HIS RIGHTLY APPOINTED GUIDES (HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S.) this earth would be filled with happiness, tranquillity, deep feelings of brotherhood and the world would become a faint model of paradise.

But what you see around you in abundance is injustice, deceit, usurping others’ rights, all types of crimes, thefts and the atmosphere is filled with actions STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY ALLAH S.W.T. which means that so many people do not care for ALLAH S.W.T.’s ORDERS and in fact they go against it.

Even the compulsory acts that need to be fulfilled are not done. On the contrary THE RIGHTLY APPOINTED GUIDES BY ALLAH S.W.T.(i.e. THE HOLY PROPHETS AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S.) have been tortured and assassinated and killed mercilessly. (You are invited to go through the true history of THE HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S. in order to establish this truth in your bosom.)

Considering all this, it is logically imperative for justice to be done by putting such most wicked people into severest everlasting hellfire for creating worst atmosphere in this world which will remain and develop up to the end of the world. So such people must remain in the severest hellfire for ever. Not only them, but their supporters as well as those who follow their footsteps must also be confined perpetually into the hellfire since because of these supporters, the original tyrants became courageous and demonstrated their audacity to perpetuate criminal acts in this world.

Also because of those who follow the footsteps of these criminals and their supporters, the criminal acts against the ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. AND HIS RIGHTLY APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES ( THE HOLY PROPHETS AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S.) go on spreading in this world.

So logic and common sense tell us that such people must be cursed for ever. Even the smallest human government will not tolerate any person who ignores government orders, let alone going against them and creating disorder in the country and perpetuating it. The followers and the supporters ( i.e. the accessories to the criminals ) of such persons will also be prosecuted and given severest punishment.

Now consider that where the orders of smallest human government are ignored, the one who ignores these orders faces severest punishment; then what should be the fate of those who ignore THE ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR TO WHOM THE WHOLE UNIVERSE BELONGS!

So the next stage after the criminals, their supporters and those who follow their footsteps, comes the category of those who ignore the ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. AND HIS RIGHTFUL REPRESENTATIVES ( THE HOLY PROPHETS AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S.) .

This category is also intellectually punishable since they would not care for THE SUPREME CREATOR and therefore act according to their own likeness. Ignoring THE SUPREME CREATOR is also the worst type of criminal offence and deserves that degree of punishment. Since they committed this crime throughout their whole life without repenting and coming on the right path, their abode in the hell must also be for the next whole life – which is perpetual.

By ignoring the ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR OF JUSTICE, they have become part and parcel of the cause of creating and nurturing injustices in this world whereby they fought against THE RULES OF JUSTICE. So such people are also within the criminal group. Those not accepting the TRUE PATH ORDAINED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR, and not following HIS INSTRUCTIONS AND ORDERS conveyed through HIS TRUE REPRESENTATIVES DULY APPOINTED BY HIM ( i.e. THE HOLY PROPHETS AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S.) are in fact trying to fight against THE SUPREME CREATOR, and the final abode for such people is therefore HELLFIRE.

THE SUPREME CREATOR has strictly prohibited treating anyone with even slightest injustice. How would HE forgive those who not only mete out injustice but try to torture others? Some even kill others who have no fault except that they do not support the criminals and the way of life of these killers – which is full of crimes against THE SUPREME CREATOR.
History is filled with such criminals who not only killed ordinary people but they even dared to torture and assassinate Holy Prophets duly appointed by THE SUPREME CREATOR and also did the same with GOD-APPOINTED representatives of the Holy Prophets as well as their followers.

Yet there is another category of people who are termed as hypocrites (MUNAFIQS) who try to show themselves with the believers but they try to destroy the religion of THE SUPREME CREATOR by trying to usurp the rights of THE TRUE GOD-APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES OF ALLAH ( HOLY IMAMS A.S.) and assassinate them and show themselves as representatives of religion as well as rulers. They change the rules set by THE SUPREME CREATOR as conveyed by the HOLY PROPHETS and further explained by THE CHAIN OF GUIDANCE APPOINTED BY HIM ( i.e. THE HOLY IMAMS A.S.). These hypocrite rulers try to modify the GOD GIVEN RULES AND ORDERS to suit their convenience and taste.

The reader will clearly observe from the true history of religions the reasons for the development of so many sects within even Jews, Christians and Muslims. The central point, being the main reason, will be found to be the hunger for usurping power dishonestly, criminally and illegally. So what should be the ultimate result of such dishonest, criminal and illegitimate people who have committed these worst crimes against THE SUPREME CREATOR as well as HIS DULY APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES thereby criminally distracting and spoiling the truth and tranquillity on this earth? At the same time consider the fate of their supporters who, in worldly courts also, are catagorized as “ accessories to the crimes “.

Both the aforementioned catagories of people ( i.e. the starters and supporters of crimes ) are responsible for all future crimes - not only of that type of crime but also part and parcel of all the crimes – since their acts of commencing and/or helping in criminal acts results in developing audacity in others for committing crimes of various types, and as a result crimes go on increasing on the earth.

It is logically established open truth that the crimes against THE SUPREME CREATOR’S ORDERS are the worst ever crimes and are subject to severest punishment, unless the criminal sincerely apologises to HIM ( i.e. to ALMIGHTY) and does not repeat them as well as tries to reverse the effects thereof, if at all possible at all costs, and due to HIS EXTREME KINDNESS HE FORGIVES him.

As stated, despite HIS UN-IMAGINABLE KINDNESS, HE DOES NOT FORGIVE crimes committed against any other human being or other creation, however small it may appear, until the person himself or the creation itself, against whom the crime was committed, forgives voluntarily – without any force, undue influence or duress. At the same time it must be borne in mind that if by acting against one person the rights of others are also jeopardised, then the forgiveness must be sought from each and everyone affected thereby, and under circumstances, only the crimes against those individuals who have voluntarily forgiven will be accepted as forgiven, but any single person remaining among the lot whose forgiveness has not been obtained voluntarily, will still remain liable to that level of punishment.

Common sense therefore directs us that in order to remain safe from eternal punishment, we must keep ourselves far away from committing injustice or crimes against other human beings and creations, and beyond all – going against any ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR, and always try to follow strictly HIS ORDERS AS DIRECTED THROUGH HIS DULY APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES – i.e. HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S..

The one who avoids acts of sins and correctly and most obediently performs all duties ORDERED BY ALMIGHTY as compulsory is termed as MUTTAQI.

JUSTICE directs that all criminals be punished and all those who have suffered at the hands of criminals without any fault be compensated by the relative criminals. At the same time the obedients of THE SUPREME CREATOR AND HIS TRUE REPRESENTATIVES be rewarded for their obedience and good actions – i.e. TAQWAA and EHSANAAT.

It is therefore logically essential to set a day on which everyone is shown the record of all his/her actions and the effects thereof in front of THE TRUE REPREPRESNTATIVES AND GUIDES OF THE SUPREME CREATOR ( being THE HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS) who will also act as witnesses – as already proved in the previous booklets including the one on IMAAMAT.

It was logically proved in Foundation Booklet – being the first of this series of booklets – that even human being does not make or produce anything – even a small nail – without any purpose. The higher the category of the item made or produced, the higher is the purpose. When a thing produced carries highest category, its purpose must also be highest and at the same time the technique, knowledge etc. employed in producing it will be highest in the eyes of the producer.

Now, if the thing produced after employing very high quality components, techniques etc, it does not serve the purpose it is produced for, but on the contrary it serves to destroy the purpose, then it will be only worth destroying it and throwing it into fire.

So consider human beings who have been created as HIGHEST among all the creations of THE ALMIGHTY; naturally they have the highest purpose and therefore apart from uncountable amenities, they have been endowed with talents and also with DULY AUTHORISED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE SUPREME CREATOR to guide them.

If such a creation which has to fulfil highest purpose in accordance with the said TRUE REPRESENTATIVES APPOINTED BY THE ALMIGHTY does not fulfil the purpose but on the contrary acts against the directions of THE ALMIGHTY thereby creating injustices, crimes and indecencies in the world throughout his worldly life, then logically and as a matter of supreme justice such a person is entitled to severest punishment for ever.

There are several types and categories of crimes that are related to a person’s actions. Some may be confined to oneself only but the others may extend to such a wide spectrum that hey affect not only communities or the whole present human society, but penetrate into future generations also. Try to think the seriousness of such actions which extend so widely in the whole world that later on they are taken as common crimes – despite having spoiled even the safety and thinking of human beings to the extent that the most harmful effects thereof are not thought of since it is now considered as a common crime.

Not confining to that only, similar crimes of more serious nature erupt from the audacity created through considering the original crime as common. This process goes on developing further to the extent that one cannot even think of the implications and their harmful effects.

If you give a little thought to the matter, you will find out to what extent the committer of the original crime as well as those who are in hierarchy or chain of committing this crime have become responsible for spoiling the present and the future generations.

Now consider – against whose order one has committed the crime? It is not against ordinary human government, but it is against THE REAL AND ETERNAL GOVERNMENT OF THE SOLE OWNER OF THE UNIVERSE – THE SUPREME CREATOR. So consider the greatness, the seriousness and the universal life-long development of the crime and its effects. Now think of the extent of punishment which a person is becoming entitled to by becoming the original cause or one of the intermediary causes of that crime or those crimes!

ISLAM therefore directs every human being to adopt TAQWAA. TAQWAA means to refrain completely from the acts, things and matters PROHIBITED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR and carry out honestly, sincerely and most obediently all acts and matters ORDERED AS COMPULSORY BY HIM – through HIS TRULY APPOINTED GUIDES - i.e. HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S..

It will therefore be observed that ISLAM is very straight forward, quite simple and logically appealing to the right senses, the sincere and obedient following of which takes the person to such a best permanent abode that human thinking is not able to estimate even a spec of a single of its pleasures and comforts.

However, common sense directs us that in order to act in a correct manner – i.e. to adopt TAQWAA – one has to:

(1)
learn to know proper rules and regulations of all compulsory acts and actions in order to be able to act correctly on them
and (2)
learn to know all actions, things and matters prohibited, in order to be able to refrain from them completely.

These are termed as FUROO-E-DEEN (FIQH) which are concerned with our actions and without acting on and observing them we cannot reach the best eternal destination. But before acting on the regulations (Furoo-e-Deen), it is absolutely necessary to know and recognize that hey are the true regulations IMPOSED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR as well as to ascertain the TRUE SOURCE through which these have come.

So first of all, we must try to understand logically THE SUPREME CREATOR’S EXISTANCE, POWERS ETC. according to the minimum level of understanding HIM by human being who has been bestowed by HIM with talents – sense – and thereafter have belief in HIS ETERNAL, ALL POWER AND EXISTANCE WITH UTMOST JUSTICE. This is the recognition of HIS EVER EXISTANCE sincerely and from the bottom of one’s heart. Again, as proved logically as well as through HIS HOLY BOOK – THE HOLY QURAAN – that HE HAS APPOINTED HIS REPRESENTATIVES in the shape of human beings, TO CONVEY HIS ORDERS AND DIRECTIONS ETC. – BEING THE HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S., according to whose directions if we act, then only we shall have acted in accordance with THE SUPREME CREATOR’S ORDERS.

Even common sense directs us that anyone believing in anyone else other than GOD-APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES has gone and is going astray from THE RIGHT PATH.

It is therefore necessary that apart from recognizing THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T. and HIS POWERS, JUSTICE ETC., it is necessary to recognize and identify HIS TRUE APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES – THE HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S., and recognize their sanctity, abilities, knowledge and powers bestowed upon them by THE SUPREME CREATOR and the absolute necessity of acting strictly according to their directions which will be completely conforming to the HOLY REVELATIONS as mentioned in HIS HOLY BOOK – THE HOLY QURAAN.

In addition to the logical proofs given of the absolute necessity of the Day of Judgement, all the HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S. have said about QAYAAMAT – THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. EVEN THE SUPREME CREATOR IN HIS HOLY BOOK – HOLY QURAAN – ( AND EVEN PREVIOUS HOLY BOOKS – TAWRET, INJEEL, AND ZABOOR ) HAS VERY OFTER MENTIONED ABOUT THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT (QAYAAMAT).

So it confirms that the sayings of the GOD-APPOINTED HOLY PROPHETS and HOLY IMAMS A.S. exactly conform to the logical proofs as well as THE HOLY QURAAN, which is the REVELATION BY THE SUPREME CREATOR TO HIS LAST AND TOPMOST HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W..

The extreme importance of understanding religious beliefs and religious laws has been emphasized by the Seventh HOLY IMAM HAZRAT MUSA KADHIM A.S. in the following words:

َتَفّقهو فى دين أّّلله َفاًّّنَ ألفقه مفتاح ألبصيرة َو َتمام ألعبادة َو الّسَبب الا َمنازل الّرفيعه َوألّرتب الَجليلة فى الّدين َو الّدنيا َو َفضل الَفقيه على العابد َكَفضل الّشمس على ألَكواكب َوَمن َلم َيَتَفّقه فى د ينه َلم َيرَض أّلله َله َعَملا MEANING: Acquire understanding in the religion of ALLAH, because doubtlessly Fiqh ( the understanding of religion of ALLAH S.W.T.) is the key to depth of knowledge and of the completeness of the holy worship (of Allah S.W.T.) and the cause of acquiring elevated ranks and magnificent ( glorious ) degrees in the religion (hereafter ) and in the world, and the eminence of Faqeeh over (in comparison of ) a worshipper (Aabid) is like the supremacy of the sun over the stars; and Allah S.W.T. will not be pleased with the actions of those who do not acquire understanding of religion.

It is therefore evident, from the logical explanations given, that it is compulsory to basically recognize the following which are the base of TRUE BELIEF that form the Fundamentals, Foundation or Roots of True Religion of THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T.. These are therefore known as USOOL-E-DEEN.

USOOL-E-DEEN are FIVE

1. TAWHEED: ONENESS of THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH Sub’haanahu Wa Ta’aala.
2. ADL : The (utmost) JUSTICE OF ALLAH S.W.T.
3.NUBUWWAT: The Chain of Guidance –i.e. THE 124,000 HOLY PROPHETS APPOINTED BY HIM.
4. IMAAMAT : The continuation of CHAIN OF GUIDANCE after the end of PROPHETHOOD – i.e. THE CHAIN OF 12 HOLY IMAMS APPOINTED BY HIM THROUGH THE LAST HOLY PROPHET HAZRAT MUHAMMAD MUSTAFA S.A.W.W..
5. QAYAAMAT: THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT.

It will therefore be clear that the recognition of the Five Basics (Fundamentals) USOOL-E-DEEN and believing in them sincerely after having understood them logically and having accepted them honestly leads us to THE RIGHT PATH ORDAINED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR ALLAH S.W.T. by adhering and following the directions and its rules as guided by THE HOLY REPRESENTATIVES – i.e. HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS and acting strictly in accordance with their directions.

Every sensible person will try his utmost to achieve permanent -unimaginable happiness and pleasure and will whole-heartedly put all his efforts towards this aim and toil very hard to be successful.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, let us not waste our time as we know that it is fleeting and we shall not be able to get back these days, hours, minutes and seconds that are either past or are currently passing away so fast.

If we direct our efforts in putting this time on the right track by acquiring knowledge of THE TRUE PATH DIRECTED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR through THE TRUE GUIDES APPOINTED BY HIM and at the same time trying to sincerely and whole-heartedly act strictly on that path in all our thoughts as well as actions, even of acquiring the living and pleasures of this world, and more importantly of the eternal permanent abode after leaving this world, then only we are successful and have tried to achieve the purpose for which THE SUPREME CREATOR has created us.

In the meantime, we may have in the past committed sins (i.e.crimes) that may have been of the two (forgivable) types namely:

Crimes against the SUPREME CREATOR’S ORDERS in which no human being or anyone of GOD’S creations has been harmed.
Crimes against the SUPREME CREATOR’S ORDERS in which harm has been inflicted on any of the human beings or any one among HIS creations.

For crimes in category (i)

Crimes of category (ii)

MEANING:

Everyone of you is a protector ( governor ) and everyone of you is answerable for one’s subjects.

MEANING: “ O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the fire whose fuel is human beings and stones…… As mentioned, in order to raise awareness of everyone towards the results of ignoring HIS ORDAINED RIGHT PATH AS DIRECTED BY HIS DULY APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES AND GUIDES ( HOLY PROPHETS AND HOLY IMAMS A.S.) HE HAS warned at several places in the HOLY QURAAN which will be realised from the number of verses stated for each subject hereunder.

There are several verses on related topics and also comparatively many verses as regards tanquilities, pleasures, amenities etc. for the residents of Heaven (Jannat) – i.e. for those who have followed THE RIGHT PATH ORDAINED BY HIM and have tried their level best to act strictly ACCORDING TO HIS ORDERS. Such persons will be enjoying unthinkable amenities, pleasures etc..

As ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T., The Day of Judgement will be of fifty thousand divine years and there are fifty stops of one thousand years each for accounting for various groups of actions etc..

It is impossible to even summarise a few of the stops but within those stops there are further stages , but after efforts we are able to give a very brief summary of only some points of only a few stages within very few of the stops. Should the reader be interested to know a bit more on the subject, he/she is invited to read books in Urdu and Gujerati. There will be books in Arabic and/or English also but the following three books are being quoted for convenience of the reader.

(1) MANAAZILUL AAKHERAH by Sheikh Mohammad Abbas Qummi
(2)ROOHON KA SAFAR (in Urdu) by Sayyed Hasan Najafi (Translated by Mirza Mohammed At’har)
(3) MOT THI MAAD (In Gujerati) by Allama Haji Gulamali ( Rahenajaat Office – Karachi)
Now we proceed to mention a few stops at very few stages.

1. The first stage is the DEATH itself

1(A) SAQARAAT: This is the position where one’s soul starts departing from one’s body - i.e. the time when one is dying.

Some of the reasons of the duress, stress and punishment suffered by a dying person, although he cannot express by his words or actions at the time are:

( I) Backbiting

( ii) Envy

(iii) Creating enemity or discontent between people or slandering

(iv)Oppressive(tyrent)ruler

(v) Giver of false witness

(vi) Grabber of the belongings of orphans

In order to avoid the tortures during death (SAQARAAT) one must keep away from the sins mentioned above. FURTHERMORE…….

To invite EASE DURING SAQARAAT ( departing of the soul ) (1) To be kind and connective with kindred (blood) relatives (SIL-E-RAHM)
(2) To be kind and obliging to parents.
( Such persons will experience ease during death and will not become financially distressed .) ALSO GET THIS DUA RECITED BY THE DYING PERSON يا َمن ّيقبلل يسير َو َيعفو عن الكثير أقبل مّن الَبسير َو عفو َعّن الكثير أّنك أنت الغفور الّرحيم (3) HAZRAT IMAM JAAFAR-E-SADIQ A.S. HAS STATED THAT:
The rewards from ALLAH S.W.T. for a MOA’MIN (believer) who has provided dresses to his MOA’MIN (believer) brother (sister) during cold as well as hot seasons are:

(a) HE will place him in paradise.
(b) HE will ease the stress of death on him.
(c) HE will turn the contraction (squeeze & distress) of his grave into wideness and tranquillity.
(d) ALLAH S.W.T. will relieve the distress of death (SAQARAAT) from the one who will fast on the LAST DAY of MAHE RAJAB.
(e) The one who FASTS ON 24TH MAHE RAJAB will be given the drink of Paradise (JANNAT) at the time of death so that his SAQARAAT will become easy.
(f) The one who recites SURATUL ZILZAAL in Naafela Prayers, ALLAH S.W.T. will save him from the injuries of earthquakes, lightning and the calamities of the earth and skies. Over and above these, the SURA-E-ZILZAAL that he has thus recited in prayers will appear in the form of an angel at the time of his death and will request the angel of death (MALEKUL MAUT) to act with the person kindly.

(4) The HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. has stated that:

(a) ALLAH S.W.T. will remove the stress of death from the MOA’MIN (believer) who has fed his MOA’MIN (believer) with sweet food.
(b) The one who recites daily the dua starting as follows:
َأعددة لكّل َحول لا ألآه اّلآ الله (see DUA’O NO MAJMUO -page 148 ) then: (I ) His 4,000 sins will be forgiven
(ii) ALLAH S.W.T. will release him from 100,000 of the stresses.of the Day of Judgement, of SAQARAAT, of death, squeeze of grave (FISHAAR-E-QABR), and he/she will be protected from shaitaan (devil) and his army, his debts will be fully paid (fulfilled) and he/she will be released from distress (GHAM).

It is also narrated that any Moa’min who recites two rakaats namaaz on Wednesdays as mentioned hereafter, then ALLAH S.W.T. will remove darkness from his/her grave up to the Day of Judgement and shall bestow upon him as many cities in heaven (Jannat) as the number of verses he recites and will give his/her record of deeds in his right hand.

Two rakaats namaaz: in each rakaat after SURA-E-ALHAMD recite ONE TIME SURA-E-ZILZAAL and THREE TIMES SURA-E- KULHOWALLAH.

Further it is narrated that anyone who recites 2 rakaats Namaaz for the benefit of MARHOOM(S) as follows:
1st Rakaat: After Sura-e-Al Hamd recite Aayatul Kursi once and Sura-e-Kulho Wallah twice.
2nd Rakaat: After Sura-e-Al Hamd recite 10 times Sura-e- Alhakomuttakathur.
and after prayers recite SALAWAAT and gift the THAWAAB to MERHOOM(S). ALLAH S.W.T. will send one thousand angels in the grave of the deceased, each carrying this gift and also each carrying a dress of Paradise (Jannat) and also widen his grave. The reciter of the prayers will be granted THAWAAB equal to the number of things on which the sun shines, and in the heaven (Jannat) his ONE THOUSAND GRADES will be elevated. IN ORDER TO PROTECT ONESELF FROM TURNING AWAY FROM THE RIGHT PATH ,ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T., AT THE TIME OF DEATH:
(1) One must understand EEMAAN – THE FUNDAMENTALS – FIVE – OF ISLAAM i.e. USOOL-E-DEEN by logical and intellectual proofs and maintain strong belief thereof in one’s heart and with utmost surety and purity of heart and sincerely admit them and reciting them – thereby placing them sincerely in the BARGAAH of ALLAH S.W.T. and after that recite the Dua starting with A’ADADTO LE KULLE HAWLIN LAA ILAHA ILLALLAH so that the misguidance of shaitaan is avoided.

In order to maintain the strength of one’s belief (EEMAAN), The SIXTH HOLY IMAM has recommended reciting after every Wajib prayer the dua starting as:

َرضيت بالّله َرّبا (2) It is stated that there is no one whom the Angel of Death (MALEKUL MAWT ) does not see every time at the times of compulsory (Wajib) daily prayers. If he/she is punctual in offering prayers on time, then MALEKUL MAWT guides him/her to recite SHAHAADATAEN at the time of taking out his/her soul (i.e. at the time of his/her death ) and drives away shaitaan from him/her.

(4) Reciting the SURA َقد أفلح المئمنون every Friday makes one’s death easier.

(5) Reciting the following seven times after each Morning and Maghrib prayers helps to relieve stringency at death: بسم الله الّرحمان الّرحيم لا َحوَل َولا ٌّ قّوَة اّلا باّلاه العلّى العظيم There are several other actions, pledges, forgivenesses, etc., regarding these, but due to brevity they cannot be quoted here. THE SECOND STAGE IS THE GRAVE.

This is mentioned under three sections:
(1) WAH’SHAT OF GRAVE (Formidability of grave)
(2) NARROWNESS, TENSIONS & THE SQUEEZE OF THE GRAVE (Fishaar-e-Kabr)
(3) QUESTIONING BY ANGELS ( Munkar & Nakeer) REGARDING ONE’S FAITH (BELIEF)

In the first section it is sufficiently clear to the deceased that he/she has left spacious house, friends, relatives etc. and is going to be buried in a very narrow, dark grave all alone with no one to help him except his/her true faith and obedience of the ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR throughout one’s life in this world.

Since the soul of the deceased, which is accompanying its dead body can – after death observe much more than it could whilst in this world- is also observing these matters to face, is becoming terribly fearful; – the fear that is undescribable by human words. This is why it is recommended to halt and put the coffin (Janaza) down for a while at two places on the ground before reaching and keeping it near the grave.

Everyone has to die and pass through this stage, so one has to give very serious consideration to one’s faith and actions in order to make one’s passage as well as the permanent abode graceful. The first night in the grave for the deceased is extremely fearful, therefore it is recommended to recite NAMAAZ-E-WAH’SHAT for the deceased Moa’min/Moa,mena which is mentioned hereunder.

Again, it is also recommended to always pray the two rakaats of prayers mentioned heretobefore on page 31.

Namaaz-e-Wah’shat is prayed as under:
Two rakaats Namaaz ; - in the first rakaat after Sura-e-Al-Hamd recite Aayatal Kursi. In the second rakaat, after Sura-e-Al-Hamd recite 10 (ten) times Suratul Qadr – i.e. Inna Anzalnah.

After finishing prayers, recite SALAWAAT and crave to ALLAH S.W.T. to grace the deceased with the THAWAAB of this prayer.

A FEW MORE ACTIONS TO REDUCE FORMIDABILITY OF THE GRAVE.

(a) Hazrat Imam Jaafar-e-Sadiq A.S. has stated that formidability will not enter that person’s grave who, during his prayers, performs complete rukuua properly.

(b) The one who recites the following 100 times daily, will be Relieved from poverty and formidability of the grave, and Shall become rich and the gates of Paradise shall be opened for him/her:

LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHUL MALEKUL HAQQUL MUBEEN.

( c) The one who becomes and obediently acts as a true Moa’min (BELIVER) shall never face the despondencies at death, fears of grave (WAH’SHAT), as well as distresses of MEHSHAR (the stages after grave to the Day of Judgement ).

( d) The one who observes fasts for 12 (twelve) days during the month of Shaabaan, then 70,000 angels will visit him/her daily in his/her grave; and the one helps someone, ALLAH S.W.T. appoints one angel to help him/her in the grave up to the Day of Judgement.

THE SECOND SECTION RELATES TO THE TENSENESS AND SQUEEZE OF THE GRAVE:

ALLAH S.W.T. HAS WARNED the disbelievers that HE WILL impose 99 cobras over everyone of them in the grave who will every so often keep pulling out their flesh and breaking their bones until the Day of Judgement. The effect of the poison of such a cobra is that if one of them breathes once on the land, no vegetation will grow on the earth.

It is narrated that among the reasons of Squeeze of Grave (FISHAAR-E-QABR) is to ignore the impurity (Najaasat) of urine or to under-consider it.

The other reasons are backbiting, slandering, creating envy, enemity and discontent among people; and to cut off good relations with blood relatives.

Acting unkindly with one’s wife and children and family members is the reason for FISHAAR-E-QABR. In this respect please read the history of SAAD BIN M’AAZ who was one of the very pious companions of the HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. and for whose funeral more than 70,000 angels had come.

The other reason which was confronted by a knowledgeable person was that one day he prayed Namaaz without Wudhoo (ablution): - this is true for those who do Wudhoo but it is Batil because it is not done according to its rules. One more reason faced by this knowledgeable person was that he passed near an old man but he did not help him. His punishment was that he should be hit by a cane of fire 100 times but upon his several pleas it was reduced to be hit one time only. When the angel canned him once, his whole grave was filled with fire.

It is narrated by the HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. that if a Moa’min, despite his ability, does not help a needy Moa’min, then ALLAH S.W.T. will impose, in his grave, a very big cobra whose name is “SHUJAA” and who will keep on biting his fingers for ever – according to narration, his second finger, up to the Day of Judgement.

When IMAM ALI REDHA A.S. ( the eighth HOLY IMAM A.S.) was asked whether the person who is hanged and not buried (as was done in primitive times ) will also observe the Squeeze of Grave (FISHAR-E-QABR), the HOLY IMAM A.S. replied that (if he has committed any of those acts ) ALLAH S.W.T. WILL ORDER the air to squeeze him. Even the SIXTH HOLY IMAM A.S. said so and added that the squeeze by the air and the squeeze by the water – for the drownees – is worse than the grave and similar is the case for those who are eaten up by wild animals.

ACTIONS & PRAYERS THAT RELIEVE FROM PUNISHMENT IN THE GRAVE.

There are many but at least 17 of them are mentioned; of which a few are stated below.

( I ) Reciting Surat-un-Nisaa every Friday.
(ii ) Reciting Surat-ul-Zukhruf; Surat-ul-Falaq.
(iii) Reciting Surat-un-Noon Wal Qalam in prayers.
(iv) The Holy Eighth IMAM ALI REDHA A.S. has stated that the one who recites NAMAAZ-E-SHAB ( TAHAJJUD ) and in the last rakaat of which he recites ISTIGHFAAR 70 TIMES, ALLAH S.W.T. will relieve him/her from punishment in the grave and in the hell, and his/her life will be prolonged and his/her means of living will be increased.
(v ) The HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. has stated that the one who recites SURAT-UT-TAKATHUR at the time of going to bed, shall be relieved from punishment in the grave.
(vi) Reciting the Dua starting as َاعددة لكّل َحول daily 10 times; as well as being buried in Najaf-e-Ashraf, or if someone dies between midday on Thursday and midday on Friday, will be relieved from the squeeze and/or punishment of grave.
(vii) The two wet branches ( JAREEDATAEN ) which are put with the corpse (mayyit) help to delay the punishment until they become dry.
(viii) Fasting for four days in Mahe Rajab and similarly for twelve Days in Mahe Shaabaan.
(ix) The Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. has stated that if someone Recites the following verses three times at the time of burying the dead, ALLAH S.W.T. will relieve the dead from the punishment of the grave up to the Day of Judgement:
أ للهّم اّنى أسَئلَك بحّق محّمد َو آل محّّمد َان لآ تعّذب هاذا المّيت (x) It is narrated by The Holy Prophet S.A.W.W. that ALLAH S.W.T. will relieve the person from the fear of the grave and of the Day of Judgement who prays two rakaats namaaz on Thursday at night - in each rakaat of which after Suratul Hamd he/she recites Suratul Zilzaal 15 (fifteen) times.

There are other prayers also during the month of Rajab and Shaabaan also.
(xi) Imam Jaafar-e-Sadiq A.S. has stated that ALLAH S.W.T. will relieve that deceased from the punishment of grave on whose corpse 40 people plead (as in the Namaaz-e-Mayyit) أللهّم اّنا لا َنعلم منه اّلا َخيرا َو أنَت أعلم به مّنا َفغفر َله THE THIRD SECTION RELATES TO QUESTIONS BY MUNKAR & NAKEER.

This section relates to Questioning by MUNKAR & NAKEER (angels) regarding one’s FAITH ( Basic Fundamentals) and it is absolutely necessary to have surety ( have faith ) in the matter of this questioning ( i.e. it is a must). Only infants and mad people are relieved from this.

It is stated that apart from the questions regarding one’s faith, one will be asked as to where one has wasted one’s life as well as from what sources one has earned one’s income and in what way one has spent this earning.

The ones who have followed the RIGHT FAITH during their life and have remained steadfast on it , shall be able to give the right answers on the faith; others will not be able to give the right answers.

For those who are the believers of the Right Faith will give the right answers and for them the grave will be widened up to the extent to which their vision reaches, and the period thereafter up to the Day of Judgement ( which is known as AALAAM-E-BARZAKH) they will spend in a very comfortable manner enjoying the countless bounties favoured upon them by ALLAH S.W.T..

For those who have not followed the Right Faith and Path in this world, will not be able to give the right answers and for them the door of hell will be opened and their graves will be filled with fire. ( For this refer to verses 92 and 93 of Suratul Waqeah).

It is related that because of the fear of the angels’ questioning and after having gone through the process of death, some of the dying persons, despite being believers, may be in a state of dispair. Therefore in order to enable them to give the right answers of their faith we are reciting TALQEEN at the time of laying them into the grave for burial. The dead person normally becomes more capable to hear and understand all languages and to see and realise much more than he can do whilst alive in this world.

It is also recommended to recite TALQEEN the second time after people have left the grave. It is narrated that when this is done on a believer, the angel MUNKAR tells NAKEER “ Let us go, since we do not need to ask this person, as the TALQEEN for this person’s proof has already been recited” and they leave the dead peaceful.

Hazrat Imam Jaafar-e-Sadiq A.S. has stated that when a believer is entered into grave , the prayers are becoming shelter on his/her right, zakaat on his/her left and good deeds and Ehsanaat (doing good and obligations to others ) above him/her and endurance and patience ( SABR ) are near him/her. When the angels are questioning him/her, then SABR tells them i.e.the prayers, good deeds and Ehsanaat, and endurance and patience to encircle and protect the dead. – When this was becoming weak, then I (- IMAM A.S.-) will be near the dead.

Allama Majlisi in his book “AL MAHAASIN “ has stated that Hazrat Imam Jaafar-e-Sadiq A.S. and Hazrat Imam Mohammad Baqer A.S. have also said that when a believer dies, bright glimmering six figures also enter with him/her in his/her grave which are brighter, chaster and more sweet smelling than one another.

Briefly, the brightest one becomes a shelter on the side of the deceased’s head. From whichever side the question or punishment (Azaab) comes, the figure on that side comes in between to prevent it and thus becomes a protection.

The brightest figure asks the figures on each of the side as to who they are. The one on the right says it is his/her prayers, the one on the left says it is his/her zakaat, the one opposite the face states that it is his/her fasts, the one on the side of the head says that it is his/her Hajj and Umrah; and the one at the feet says it is his/her obligations and good deeds which he/she was doing to his/her believer brotheren.

Then all those figures ask the brightest figure as to who are you who are most glimmering (NOORAANI) and beautiful than everyone of us, to which it replies,” I am the WILAA( true love ) of AALE MUHAMMAD ALAIHIM AJMAEEN”. IMPORTANT.
Please note that there are MUSTAHAB A’AMAALS mentioned or referred to in this booklet or elsewhere, but the acceptance thereof entirely depends on whether the COMPULSORY PRAYERS (WAJIB NAMAAZ) have been performed (prayed) properly and correctly in accordance with its rules and regulations including regarding TAHAARAT of body, clothes etc., and also WUDHOO, GHUSL, HALAAL MEANS, PERFORMANCE OF ITS WAJIBAATS – actions, attention as well as pronunciations etc.. These are covered under the subjects of MUQADDEMAT-E-NAMAAZ, WAJIBAAT-E-NAMAAZ, SHAKKIYAAT-E-NAMAAZ, NAJAASAAT, MUTAHHARAAT etc..

Only if the WAJIB PRAYERS are performed correctly in accordance with the regulations relating thereto, then they become acceptable and thereby all other MUSTAHAB A’AMAALS AND PRAYERS become acceptable, otherwise not. This will be evident from the saying (Hadith) of the HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. which states:
الّصلواة عمود الّدين ان قبلت قبل ما سواها َو ان رّدت رّد ما سواها MEANING: THE NAMAAZ ( THE PRAYERS) is the Pillar of religion; if it is accepted then all others ( actions, prayers, duas etc.,) are accepted, and if it (NAMAAZ) is rejected, then everything is rejected.

So please try to learn and remember the rules and observe them strictly in your prayers for making your prayers acceptable. If in the past they have not been performed correctly, please try to repay them, even by offering them with WAJIBAATS ONLY (i.e. leaving out Mustahabbats) so that many can be repaid in a short period and our debt of this most important aspect can be repaid whilst we are alive.

As for MUSTAHAB A’AMAALS and actions to be done after rectifying oneself and repaying the debts of past prayers, human debts and obligations, some recommended a’amaals have been mentioned before and some are given hereafter.

For relief in questions of MUNKAR & NAKEER, the following are recommended.
1. To observe 9 (nine) fasts (ROZA) during the month of Shaabaan
2. Sheikh Sudooq has mentioned that according to Imam Muhammad Baqer A.S. there are very high recommendations for the person who keeps awake during the night of 23rd Mahe Ramadhaan and prays 100 rakaats namaaz during that night. ALLAH S.W.T. will remove the fear of MUNKAR & NAKEER from him/her, and a NOOR (light) emanates from his/her grave that enlightens the whole world.
3. The one who is buried in Najaf-e-Ashraf is exempted from the accountability of MUNKAR & NAKEER..
4. In the similar manner as No.3 hereof, if a believer is buried in the vicinity of neighbourhood (JEWAAR) of IMAM HUSAIN A.S., IMAM REDHA A.S., or any other of the HOLY MAASOOMEEN A.S., he/she will be relieved from so many fears.
Then the period of BARZAKH starts. This is that intermediary period after the questions of MUNKAR & NAKEER up to the Day of Judgement (QAYAAMAT). (BARZAKH means a stop between two things, places, periods etc.)
During this period the position of the deceased person will be in accordance with his/her actions and A’amaals, and will also get assistance and reward of good deeds, charities, aamaals etc., that his/her children do for him/her.

Every Thursday night the souls of the deceased believers come in front of the house of their children ( family) and crave to them for sending good deeds, charities etc for them. So it is very important and our utmost duty to remember them and send them gifts of charities, good deeds etc. daily.

Reciting the Holy Quraan, Hadith-e-Kisaa and a few verses of Marsia for sending to them their benefits daily will greatly add to the excellence of the gifts.

Those believers who are careful in offering their Wajib Prayers properly and on time – i.e. beginning time of Namaaz, will enjoy the benefits, conveniences and tranquilities during Barzakh.

For the non-believers, opposite is the case.
The souls of believers are placed in WADI-US-SALAAM in NAJAF-E-ASHRAF and enjoy the coolness, tranquilities etc. there, while those of non-believers and sinfuls are placed in WADI-E-BARHOOT in Yemen and have to face and tolerate very fearful and painful period.

Before the end of the world and the beginning of Qayaamat, the HOLY TWELFTH IMAM HAZRAT MEHDI SAHEBUZZAMAAN A.F.S. will be asked by THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T. to RE-APPEAR in this world and establish the one single TRUE RELIGION OF ALLAH S.W.T. – i.e. TRUE ISLAAM on this earth and at the same time establish Justice and tranquillity in the world. At that time some deceased believers, who are of high calibre and would like to join the forces of the Twelfth Holy Imam A.F.S. (i.e. IMAM-E-ZAMAANA A.F.S.) will be brought back to life for fulfilling their said desire.

At the same time, several tyrennial people will also be brought back to life so that people could see them first getting worldly punishments also for their heinous crimes of torturing and assassinating etc. of GOD –APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES during their worldly lives. The extremely painful punishments of the next world still await them and they will remain therein for ever. Their helpers and followers will also face the same fate.

Since it is possible that of all the believers, some may have left this world without being able to pay their debts, or missed out Prayers, Hajj, Zakaat, Khums or other obligations of theirs. In order to relieve them from the punishments of Barzakh, it is highly recommended that their children and family members, relatives etc., pay off their worldly debts as well as accomplish or get accomplished all their religious obligations which were missed out during his/her lifetime.

Apart from the prayers mentioned earlier in this booklet, it is stated that the following two rakaat prayers may be offered for the deceased parents as well as children, as often as possible.

TWO RAKAATS NAMAAZ: In the first rakaat after SURATUL HAMD recite SURA-E-INNA ANZALNAH, and in the second rakaat after SURATUL HAMD recite SURA-E-KAWTHAR.

The effect of it is that ALLAH S.W.T. REMOVES the distresses from the deceased and BESTOWS tranquilities on him/her, and the deceased is told that this is the benefit of the two rakaats which your such and such believer (Mo’amin) has prayed for you.

The HOLY SIXTH IMAM A.S. was asked whether we can include others instead of one person only for the benefit of that prayer which is offered; to which THE HOLY IMAM A.S. replied in affirmative and said that the deceased are pleased with this prayer and seeking forgiveness for them as well as fulfilment of their obligations like fasting, wajib prayers, zakaat, khums, debts etc.,. Also any additional good deeds , prayers, charity etc., done for the deceased are added into the book of their deeds (NAAMA-E-A’AMAAL) and ALLAH S.W.T. ,WITH HIS MERCY, MULTIPLIES THEM and the deceased reaps the benefit of them.

It is narrated that when any donation (SADQA) is given by someone for the deceased, ALLAH S.W.T. ORDERS JIBRAEEL (GABRIEL) to take 70,000 angels and go to the grave of the deceased. Each of the 70,000 angels will have carried a large plate full of benevolent gifts from ALLAH S.W.T. and will tell the deceased, “ Oh beloved of ALLAH S.W.T., peace be upon you; such and such believer has sent this gift to you.”. Because of this the grave of the deceased glows up with light –(i.e. becomes NOORANI ) and ALLAH S.W.T. BESTOWS upon him/her one thousand cities in Paradise and gifts him/her with one thousand dresses and HOOR, and his/her one thousand needs are fulfilled.

At the same time please note the distresses faced owing to non-fulfilment of one’s smallest debt even.

(BRIEFLY ONLY). – It is narrated by Allama Noori, the teacher (ustaad) of Sheikh Abbas Qummi that Fakeeh Sayyed Hasan Husaini Isfehani had narrated to him that his father, who died in Isfehaan, had listed all his debts in a register but had missed out to note the debt of 18 toomaans (approx.7.1/4 fils U.A.E.) due to be paid to someone (who was known even to his sons). However, because his name was not mentioned in the register as one of the creditors, the sons were not able to pay off that debt whilst paying off others listed on the register. The creditor also felt shy in asking the sons for quite a long time. Later he forgave the debt.

The son who narrated this event to Allama Noori, once saw his father in a dream and ,upon asking, the father narrated to him that he was in a bad state of condition until very recently he was released. The reason for all that was the debt of that person.

Upon waking up from the sleep, since he was in Najaf-e-Ashraf, he wrote to his brothers about it and they approached the person concerned who gave the reason for not demanding the debt that he had no proof so he felt shy, but added that sometime back he forgave the debt.

So it will be clear to the reader how extremely dangerous it is to leave even smallest debt unpaid. The punishment does not end until it is either paid or the creditor voluntarily, without any undue influence, stress or duress forgives it whole-heartedly.

The readers must have heard the event of Najaf-e-Ashraf, where one wood seller who was repaying his debt of a jew monthly at the rate of one or two dirhams a month. The Jew died at a time when still one or two dirhams had still remained outstanding to be paid back to him by the wood seller. After knowing that the Jew had died at the time he went to pay him the last instalment, the wood seller tried his utmost to find the beneficiaries of the Jew in that town and in other towns also but could get none whom he could pay off his debt.

After some time, the wood seller saw a dream in which he saw that the Day of Judgement has arrived and whilst he was passing on the bridge ( POOL-E-SERAAT ) he saw fire coming out from the Hell below and in that he saw that Jew who asked him for his debt. Since he had no money he pleaded to him to forgive giving him the details of the efforts he had made to pay it off to his beneficiaries, as he could not get him, but was unable to find any after all efforts. After several pleas, the Jew agreed to forgive provided the wood seller would allow the Jew to just touch the wood seller with his burning finger, to which the latter agreed and he opened his chest and the Jew just touched him with his finger and whilst in the dream he felt so burnt out that he woke up screaming and noticed a strong burn on his chest. This did not heal until his death.

There are several events narrated about the punishment etc., during BARZAKH owing to different obligations being missed out or due to prohibited actions having been performed during life time.

The readers are recommended to read the copies of the book “GUNAHAN-E-KABEERA” by Shaheed Ayatullah Sayyed AbdulHusain Dastghaeb wherein the details of several ‘Dos’ and ‘DONTs’ are given as well as the benefits of the ‘DOs’ and the punishments of the ‘DONTs’ are also mentioned.

It is narrated by Imam Jaafar-e-Sadiq A.S. that:

(a) To avoid eating one morsel (mouthful) of haraam (prohibited thing) is better for acquiring the pleasure of ALLAH S.W.T. than praying 2000 rakaats of MUSTAHAB NAMAAZ.
(b) Returning one dirham to its owner is equivalent to Seventy accepted Hajj (Pilgrimages) near ALLAH S.W.T..

Earlier in the booklet, it was stated that before the ending of the world for QAYAAMAT , there will be the Re-appearance of the HOLY 12TH IMAM A.F.S. – RAJ’AT when some very good believers and some extremely tyrannical people will also be brought to life during the time of Re-appearance of the HOLY 12TH IMAM A.F.S. . People will observe the tyrannical people being first given worldly punishment in this world before getting into eternal severest punishment of the next world.

After a period of open establishment of the only single TRUE RELIGION OF ALLAH S.W.T. – (ISLAM) the whole world-over by our 12TH HOLY IMAM A.F.S. for quite a long time, there would now come an event for the beginning of QAYAAMAT.

Q A Y A A M A T The angel ISRAFEEL will be ordered by ALLAH S.W.T. to blow up the verse to end the world and when the said angel will blow towards the earth, all creations of the earth will die, and when he will blow towards the sky, all creations in the skies will die. Then the angel himself will die upon ORDER OF ALLAH S.W.T..

The period of QAYAAMAT is of extremely detailed questions for every deed of each believer for the wrong actions, thoughts, words etc., which he/she may have done, thought or uttered in this world. Some very good believers who may have studied seriously and understood the religious rules and regulations and have tried strictly to act upon them sincerely and carefully and have avoided all prohibited acts, will pass from all the stops very easily and so fast even on the BRIDGE OF SERAAT, that would astonish everyone.

This will be the main result of their TRUE BELIEF (USOOL-E-DEEN) sincerely and honestly and especially includes THE SUPER MOST TRUE BELIEF IN WILAYA AND LOVE OF ALI IBN ABI TALIB A.S. AND THE HOLY PROGENY OF THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. and strictly acting on the rules of religion.

THE WILAAYA i.e. Sincere Belief in HAZRAT ALI IBNE ABI TALIB A.S. AS THE TRUE GOD-APPOINTED GUIDE AND FIRST KHALIFA AND IMAM – REPRESENTATIVE OF ALLAH S.W.T. OF THE GOD-APPOINTED CHAIN OF GUIDANCE AFTER THE HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W., AND AFTER THIS FIRST HOLY IMAM HIS PROGENY OF ELEVEN HOLY IMAMS INCLUDING THE HOLY 12TH IMAM (AJJALALLAHO FARAJAHU-SHSHAREEF) WHO IS IN OCCULTATION BY THE ORDER OF ALLAH S.W.T. AT PRESENT, IS THE HUB OF TRUE PATH OF ISLAM as already proved by the verses of THE HOLY QURAAN in the previous booklet on IMAAMAT. Almost all the calamities of all stops from death to those of QAYAAMAT are relieved by the result of having this sincere belief and whole-heartedly acting upon their guidance on THE TRUE PATH ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T..

Not only that, but several believers who may have sacrificed their lives under the guidance and Order of THE HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. OR ANY OF THE HOLY 12 IMAMS A.S. for saving TRUE ISLAM or may have given even part of their life time for THE SPREAD OF TRUE ISLAM will be given the opportunity to plead forgiveness for either their relatives or non-relatives who are believers but have sins that may delay their relief or entitle them to certain punishments; and their pleads will be accepted by THE HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S. and the sinful believer(s) be forgiven by ALLAH S.W.T..

This is in addition to the MAIN PROCESS OF EXEMPTIONS AND FORGIVENESS BY THE HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S. to several believers – and this is termed as SHAFAA’T, which is fully authorised to THE HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND HIS HOLY PROGENY AND ACCEPTED BY ALLAH S.W.T..

QAYAAMAT is the longest process of accountability of one’s each and every action, thought etc in this world. For sinfuls, it is extremely horrifying as for certain single sin the committer will be in terrible condition for one hundred years. It is therefore highly recommended and advisable for the believers to avoid all prohibitions in order to save oneself from the resultant punishments.

As for non-believers, it is quite clear that by not believing in THE TRUE PATH ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T., they have tried to falsify THE ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR and thus they have acted criminally all the way through their lives AGAINST THE SUPREME REAL GOVERNMENT – THE REAL OWNER OF THE UNIVERSES- and their permanent abode is therefore no where except HELL FIRE. There are stages in the hell like there are stages in the heaven. The non-believer criminals will further be loaded with their other criminal acts etc in this world and will be accordingly placed in the worse or worst stage in conformity with the intensity of their individual crimes.

Consider the punishment of those who have usurped the rights of GOD-APPINTED REPRESENTATIVES and those who have martyred such HOLY SOULS. Also the worseness of the crimes of those who follow such criminals. Again consider the heaviness of the crimes of those who preach PATHS (– Beliefs and rules-) other than THE PATH OF TRUE ISLAM ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T.. They all try to fight against the ORDERS OF THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T. WHO IS THE REAL SOLE OWNER OF THE UNIVERSES.

If someone has been doing so up to now, it is time to immediately abandon this practice, study the TRUE PATH and start following it sincerely, whole-heartedly and by fulfilling all the compulsory acts and avoiding all the prohibited acts and continually on daily basis sincerely apologizing for the past mistakes committed, through lack of knowledge of THE RIGHT PATH, by craving the apology through the help of THE HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND HIS HOLY PROGENY ( MUHAMMAD WA AAL-E-MUHAMMAD A.S.) so that THE MOST MERCIFUL ALLAH S.W.T. MAY FORGIVE THOSE TRANSGRESSIONS.

As mentioned earlier, there are several hundred verses in THE HOLY QURAAN regarding rewards and punishments, heaven and hell etc/., and it is almost impossible to quote them all in such an abridged booklet which only gives the opportunity for thought of studying and following THE TRUE PATH ORDAINED BY THE SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T..

However, let me refer you to a very few verses which give the glimpse of the benefits of following THE RIGHT PATH and the loss of ignoring it.

It is impossible to list out all the stages of QAYAAMAT but let us give little glimpse or summary of the first Seven Stages of the Day of Judgement- QAYAAMAT. Everyone would be made to pass over SERAAT which passes over the hell. THE FIRST STAGE. Here there are three stops and the questions relating to those stops are as follows.
1st Stop: SIL-E-REHM: -Kindness and good relations with Parents and kindred (blood) relatives.
2nd Stop: AMAANAT – Securities – whether they relate to money or money’s worth like debts, things, or even if someone has confided one with his/her internal matters or secrets – not to be disclosed to anyone and such other matters are included therein.
3rd Stop: WILAYAH: - This is very important for which the verse of the Holy Quraan is also there as well as the reknown Sunni writers have mentioned in their books – like Tabari has quoted this and even in Sawaeq-e-Mohreqa and other Sunni books the high importance of this is mentioned. In Sawaeq-e-Mohreqa it is stated that the one who will have a passport of WILAAYAH OF IMAM ALI IBNE ABI TALIB A.S. WILL PASS. SECOND STAGE: WAJIB PRAYERS – Here the questions regarding proper performance of daily Wajib (compulsory) prayers will be asked. The HOLY SIXTH IMAM A.S. states that “THE ONE WHO UNDER-VALUES THE PRAYERS (NAMAAZ) WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUR SHAFA’AT.”
Further, verses 4 & 6 of Suratul Maoon are proof of the status of such people.
Also verse No. 6 of suratul Tahreem warns Everyone to save oneself and one’s family from Hell fire.
THIRD STAGE: ZAKAAT & KHUMS: Those who have failed to pay religious dues of KHUMS & ZAKAAT where applicable, will be prevented from passing from this stage and a terrible cobra will be placed around the neck of each of them.
FOURTH STAGE: FASTS: Those who fail to perform this without validity of exemption would be prevented from passing from this stage.
FIFTH STAGE: HAJJ - Those on whom Hajj had become Wajib and have failed to perform it, will be prevented from passing from this stage. Unless any of his/her family members or believers repay by performing or getting it performed on his/her behalf, the person will be put with non-believers.

SIXTH ATAGE: TAHAARAT
This incorporates maintaining all types of Tahaarat including maintaining Tahaarat of one’s body, clothes, food etc.. Also perform the three Tahaarats properly – i.e. Wudhoo, Ghusl and Tayammum. It is very important for both males and females to know the rules and properly perform Ghusl of Janaabat etc. and for ladies further rules and ghusl of Haez, Istehaza and Nifaas. Those who do not perform these on time and according to their rules (which also results in their prayers etc. getting void) will be prevented from passing this stage, and apart from punishment for this, they will also suffer the squeeze of the grave as described earlier.

SEVENTH STAGE: MADHAALIM
People’s debts and other dues. This is sometimes known as stage of Justice or stage of HUQOOQ-UN-NAAS. If someone will have harmed someone without due cause and relative allowable punishment, the culprit will be prevented for 500 years whereby his/her bones will become melted, unless the person harmed forgives him voluntarily. Those who have usurped someone’s money, property or any belonging will be imprisoned for 40 years after which the culprit will be thrown into hell. It is also stated that instead of each one dirham usurped, 7,000 rakaats of accepted prayers of the culprit will be given to the person whose money has been usurped.

Everyone would be given the record book of one’s actions etc (NAAMA-E-A’AMAAL) done in this world. Some would be given in the right hand because their status will be high since they had not only faithfully believed in WILAAYAH but also acted according to the rules by performing all compulsory acts and avoiding all prohibited acts as guided by THE TRUE GOD-APPOINTED GUIDES – i.e. HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND HOLY IMAMS A.S..

Some will be given their record books in their left hands, or tied to their backs or hanged in their necks. Each of these will be the committer of various types and various numbers of crimes and will be dealt with accordingly unless all or part of their sins are forgiven for some reasons or the other or due to SHAFA’AT. Please refer SURAT-UL-INSHIQAAQ, Chapter 84, Verses 7 to 25.

One of the stages in QAYAAMAT is the place of A’ARAAF and for this please go through the tafseer (detailed explanation ) of SURATUL A’ARAAF.

It is also stated that when people will be given their book of records and will be asked to read it, some will try to deny the writing of angels about their committing of sins and although the angels themselves and also the respective HOLY PROPHETS OF THEIR TIME as well as HOLY IMAMS A.S. and the top most HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W.W. will be there to witness yet, in order to avoid and escape the punishment, their false denials will continue. So ALLAH S.W.T. will seal their tongues, and their limbs through which they will have committed those sins will speak out and witness their deeds by the order of ALLAH S.W.T.. This is clearly mentioned in verse 65 of SURA-
َاليَوَم َنختم علىّ َافواههم َو تكّلمنا َايديهم َو َتشهد َارجلهم بما كانوا َيكسبون MEANING: On that day WE will set a seal upon their mouths, and their hands shall speak to us, and their feet shall bear witness of what they earned.

One of the most striking examples of those who have not been on the RIGHT PATH but upon realising the fact, they sincerely and whole-heartedly became BELIEVERS and regretted for their past deeds, and how ALLAH S.W.T. HAS SHOWERED UPON THEM HIS KINDNESS, MERCY AND BENEVOLENCIES, is given in Verses 70 to 76 of SURAT-U-TTAHAA, Chapter 20. So it is best time whilst one is alive to start regretting sincerely and adopting THE RIGHT BELIEF AND PATH in order to attract THE FORGIVANCE OF THE SUPREME CREATOR.

It is therefore absolutely clear to a sensible and wise person that RECOGNIZING THE TRUE PATH, BELIEVING IT SINCERELY, KNOWING THE RULES OF ITS RIGHT AND COMPULSORY ACTIONS, MOST OBEDIENTLY ACTING CORRECTLY ON THESE RULES, KNOWING THE PROHIBITED AND UNDESIRABLE ACTIONS AND KEEPING AWAY FROM THEM is the only sensible way of living in this world, thereby making our Permanent Abode in the next world extremely and unthinkably pleasant and keeping ourselves away from the very high torturous punishments of the hell fire.

Therefore, the first thing is to logically and intelligently study THE BELIEFS of the PATH TO ETERNAL LIFE (religion) which form the FOUNDATION of it and if they are true and appealing to the right senses, one must Believe in them honestly and sincerely.

The next thing is to study the rules and regulations of compulsory as well as prohibited actions and ACT PROPERLY ACCORDING TO THE RULES ON COMPULSORY ACTIONS and ABSOLUTELY AVOID PROHIBITED ACTIONS.

It is only then that a person has sincerely BELIEVED IN AND ADOPTED THE RIGHT PATH.

If in the past, a person has been a dis-believer and has committed crimes which are redeemable – like hurting others or usurping their rights, he must apologize, compensate etc. to the relative parties and obtain their apologies as well as apologize to THE SUPREME CREATOR for having gone against HIS ORDERS un-knowingly. However, if they are not related to any of the creations but are only related to the orders of THE SUPREME CREATOR – like taking intoxicants and such other prohibited items, one must sincerely and from the depth of his heart often regret and crave to HIM for forgiveness and at the same time absolutely stop such actions.

Even if one is a believer and has committed such crimes, knowing that they are prohibited, then he has committed stronger crimes and must recompense and more strongly crave for HIS forgiveness, whilst absolutely stopping any sort of repetition of such actions.

Having adopted properly the RIGHT PATH both by BELIEF AND ACTIONS as mentioned heretobefore, then there are many ways of upgrading one’s status and for that there are Mustahab A’amaals during each Islamic month as well as giving charities in the ways directed by Sheriat. There are various grades in the Paradise – Jannat – and it is up to a person himself to toil for getting higher grade, and this is open to even financially poor people, so if one studies the rules as well as results of certain actions of a person, he/she may achieve the grades from THE MOST BENEFICENT, MOST REWARDING, MOST GRACEFUL, MOST LOVING , AND MOST MERCIFUL SUPREME CREATOR – ALLAH S.W.T..

Various Mustahab Aamaals are given in different books, the ones common to everyone are:
Mafaateehul Jinaan – ( available in Arabic,Farsi, Urdu and Gujerati languages )
Zaad-us-Saaleheen - in Gujerati
Majmooa - in Gujerati
and many others.
However, in order to get more knowledge, one must read the short Life Histories of 14 Maasoomeen A.S. and their supplications, hadiths, guidance etc.. For this the following are some of the books to be studied.

There are many other very good books but it is not possible to give names of many. However, one must try to study the translation and commentary of THE HOLY QURAAN by S.V.Mir Ahmed Ali which gives some explanation of various verses. Also AL MEEZAAN which gives more explanation of its verses.

In order to have a little glimpse of knowledge of the status of the GOD-APPOINTED TRUE GUIDES –SOME HOLY PROPHETS AND THE LAST HOLY PROPHET S.A.W.W. AND THE HOLY IMAMS A.S. so that one’s BELIEF in them becomes strong, it is absolutely necessary to go through the books giving those aspects of their lives. Because it is impossible to narrate the lives of even one hundred HOLY PROPHETS, we have mentioned the word ‘some’ above, as their short life histories are available.

It will be evident to the readers of their short life histories as to how they have sacrificed to save and establish THE TRUE PATH ORDAINED BY ALLAH S.W.T. by strictly adhering to ALLAH S.W.T.’s wishes and not using divine powers against the culprits for their own benefit.

It is extremely pleasing to hear that some people have read the previous five booklets (whilst this booklet was still being written) and have logically and intelligently understood and observed the truth thereof and have therefore sincerely accepted and adopted the RIGHT BELIEF and converted to ISLAM. These include person(s) of higher religious category. May ALLAH S.W.T. accept their action , as well as of those who do so after this , and shower HIS BENEVOLENCE upon them in this world as well as the next world. AAMEEN.
